I never said that, but a Squeeler fan who cleans the plant where I work asked me if I thought Romo was overrated. I emphatically said no. I told him that I thought Romo was a very good QB. He said that I was entitled to my opinion.

He went on to say that he read in the Indiana Gazette (PA newspaper) where Romo was on an overrated player's list. I could not help but roll my eyes. I asked him if Aaron Rodgers was on that same list and he looked at me like I was crazy. He said, "Do you really think Rodgers is overrated?"
How could he not be? What has he ever done? Has he won a playoff game? NOPE!

I told him that the media loves Rodgers and classifies him as arguably the best QB in the game even though he hasn't done squat except for looking good in the regular season.

Just another classic example of fans being brainwashed and believing anything the media throws out there. :laugh2:

Squeeler fans up here are in pre-Super Bowl mode.

Yep. The media emphasizes Romo's mistakes while games like the one he had Sunday are applauded, but not with the same intensity. I see how a casual observer would believe he's no good.

I really don't see Romo as being overrated OR underrated. He is generally viewed as a top 5-6 QB's in the league and that is just about right.

What IS generally overrated is the OL he is playing behind.

.02.

I would be too if we were 3-0 with 3rd and 4th string QB starting. The way their defense is playing, they have every right to feel that way.

How can Romo be over rated? A lot of fans wanted to dump him for Cutler, the media dogs on him about how he can't win an important game. How is that over rated? :p:

Pitt without Ben - 3-0 looking like world beaters with Dennis Dixon and Charlie Batch.

Dallas without Romo - Heaven help us, Brad Johnson.

What is overrated is the crying about Romo being called overrated. Quit crying.

Thanks Blob! I'll keep that in mind. Just sharing a story.

Opposing teams fans hate on Romo so hard.

If Romo gets brought up it's either "HAHA TONY HOMO SUCKS" or "HE'S A CHOKER".

You know what...I just started another thread last night about those fools.

I think those fans are now judging their current team with...How many SuperBowls do you have?

Then he's wearing his 6 SuberBowl tee shirt...

I pity fools like that.

Yep. That's all I ever get up here. They just don't know. :)

You know what's funny? Aaron Rodgers had the exact same play Romo did in his first playoff game, yet the media doesn't crucify Rodgers for that game-ending fumble like they have Romo for that bobbled snap.

Seriously, I'm about to get to the point where I go live in a cabin in Idaho and say ba fa' 'gul to the rest of humanity.

Or maybe I should start liking stuff the mediots do. That would cut down on the conflict too.

Like we should care what a custodian thinks. Newsflash: not everyone has to like or respect Tony. That's their right. Running to a bulletin board to tattle on a casual acquaintance who holds no importance whatsoever is moronic.
