Romo, Brown voted FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the Week




Quarterback Tony Romo of the Dallas Cowboys and running back Chris Brown of the Tennessee Titans are the FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the Week for games played on Sept. 6-10, as voted on by fans at NFL.com, the NFL announced today.

Romo completed 15 of 24 passes for 345 yards and four touchdowns, compiling a passer rating of 128.5 in the Cowboys' 45-35 victory over the New York Giants. His four touchdowns included a 51-yard, fourth-quarter pass and 9-yard scoring run..

Brown rushed for 175 yards on 19 carries, including a 42-yard, second-quarter run that led to a Titans field goal, in Tennessee's 13-10 victory over Jacksonville.

Romo and Brown were selected from among finalists in air and ground categories through 63,240 fan votes. The other FedEx Express NFL Player of the Week finalists were quarterbacks Tom Brady of the New England Patriots and Ben Roethlisberger of the Pittsburgh Steelers, while running backs Joseph Addai of the Indianapolis Colts and Shaun Alexander of the Seattle Seahawks were the other finalists for the FedEx Ground NFL Player of the Week.
