Here are some player quotes from various articles (from DMN). I'm ready for some playoffs!!!

www.cowboys.beloblog.com

.....Tony Romo wasn't worried after the Cowboys failed to score a touchdown for the second time in three games. He noted that Dallas didn't put together a typical game plan for the Commanders, because the Cowboys wanted to keep some things in their pocket for a potential playoff rematch.

....."We held some things back," said Romo, who completed seven of 16 passes for 86 yards and a pick in the loss. "We're more than confident going into the playoffs."

...."I'm not concerned about anything except this next ballgame coming up," Wade Phillips said, "and I think we'll be ready to play."

...."They deserve (the win)," Pro Bowler Flozell Adams said. "We’re concentrating on who we’re playing next. It definitely won’t look like it did today, I promise you that."

...Tim Mcmahon - The Cowboys pinpointed their problem during today's game. They really didn't give a hoot what happened as long as they didn't suffer any more injuries.

...."The word for us was uninspired," Wade Phillips said. "It shows you when one team is fired up and the other one isn't. Basically, I didn't get our team ready to play."

Added Tony Romo: "You saw what happens out there when one team plays with that much emotion and the other one really doesn’t. Obviously, we didn't match their intensity level, and that's the story."

"We didn't play with intensity, and they did," Pro Bowl RG Leonard "Bigg" Davis said. "And it showed."

Well, it was pretty obvious. I'm not worried. We're going to destroy the first team that comes to meet us in the playoffs. I promise you that.

These quotes support what I've been saying .There is a reason as to why they've played like this. We've had no reason to give away our game plan.

Another indicator that we shouldn't worry about this game is that we didn't see Jerry on the sidelines. If Jerry was concerned about the team's performance, you know he would have been on the sidelines by end of 1st quarter. If Jerry didn't give a crap about the game, we shouldn't either.

Exactly, there was no need to show any sign of a new wrinkle that we may have hidden up our sleeve.

I understand them not showing anything and basicly not trying to win, but if thats the case then why even play Romo and some of the other starters. Doesn't make sense. With the conditions of yesterdays game the risk was to high for injury.

That stands to reason, Jerry wasted a whole year just to get Emmitt's all-time rushing record.

uhhh.. no.. Emmitt was still the best RB, heck the best offensive player, on that team.. evidence: a full-time Troy Hambrick..

You just lost a whole lot of credibility in my eyes. A really dumb statement.

I agree. You don't just have an explosive offense all year, and all of a sudden you can't move the ball.

I can't wait!

I'm not buying it....

You can be vanilla and still hit the open receiver

You can be vanilla and still rush for over 1 yard in a game

You can be vanilla and score more than six points at home against the Eagles with stuff riding on the game.

You can be vanilla and score more that six points against the Commanders even though it doesnt mean anything.

You can be vanilla and still show up at the game ready to play football.

I am by no means jumping off a bridge, but you HAVE to be concerned about this team going into the playoffs. If you you're not, you're in LALA Land.

I highly doubt Tony Romo is holding anything back until the Playoffs come.

There is even footage of him on the bench angrily throwing a towel down in disgust at how he and his teammates played.

The only thing I think he did out of the ordinary is force balls to Terry Glenn and Jason Witten. He wanted to get Glenn some work and get Witten the record.

Besides that, I have to believe the Romo was playing as though the game mattered.

The contrast between the Top AFC team and the top NFC team is glaring.
NE came out full throttle, confident and ready to win. Feeling you have to hold back on a game plan smacks of insecurity and I don't like it.

You game plan and execute, regardless of what the guy across from you does to try to stop you. If you're going to rest starters, then rest them. It's a more legitimate approach than saying we were thinking of the next game or we were holding back.

I hope that is the case because this team looked like they were sleep walking yesterday. I really expected the skins would win the game with so much on the line but it was disappointing to see this team look that poor.

I think everyone but DeWare should give their game checks to charity.
