Romo quote: They exposed us

"They exposed something we do fundamentally offensively,"

"Scheme is a major part of it that the normal fan or writer doesn't understand," Romo said after the game in Philadelphia. "If you're put in a really good situation, it really allows your team to be successful a lot. That's why I think some games, it's easy to say, 'Well, he didn't play good.' A lot of it is scheme."

This speaks volumes about the cohesiveness of our players and Garrett. For Romo to come out and say it this directly, it's obvious they are not on the same page. First T.O. , and now Romo.

that the normal fan or writer doesn't understand

I admit that I fit into this catagory. But isn't this the same problem that TO, Williams , Crayton, Witten, Romo, on and on the whole team have been complaining about for weeks??
Can't someone do something about this?
Whose job is it?
Why does every other team in the league get their act together and Jerry can't hire someone to solve this problem? If Tony is running the team as some say, he should tell Jerry to hire someone....

Looks like Romo and Garrett are going to need to work things out if this is going to have any chance at going forward next season.

This is shocking. I know Jerry said he won't make coaching changes, but maybe hearing his star players complain might force him to re-think that.

I think this goes directly to what Ray Lewis was saying about our offense. There isn't much doubt in my mind that we have (mostly) the players we need to execute. In other words, we have the talent. Something else is more at the root of the problem.

To have so many players not on the same page this late in the season is unacceptable. Something is fundamentally wrong when SO MANY plays are clear miscommunications. Could be Romo - could be the other guys. In any event, it has to change.

Jerry was trying to be too cute when he hired a guy with NO EXPERIENCE to run an offense. I know it worked out for 1 year, but we need experience there.

You can tell ESPN has an agenda because everyone across the network - website, TV, radio - is spinning this to read that Romo is calling out the coaching staff.

For once, I actually agree with ESPN and hope that he is calling them out. They blew it over and over again this season with boneheaded play-calling and poor preparation and poorly run practices. I never attended a practice personally, but the old adage is "you play like you practice" and they played like crap far too often.

Dallas has plays written in a coloring book. Everyone else uses power point.

Romo - "they exposed us!" ...Yeah they did, that was a public de-pantsing!

Romo said, "They exposed something we do fundamentally offensively"

What? They are fundamentally offensive, Tony just figured that out?!!

Philly did not expose it - The Cowboys displayed it on national TV.

Turds all over the field, good thing it was in Philly where the locals could not smell it.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dallas Cowboys America's joke.

Anyone know how you run a "timing" offense when the receivers are getting chucked at the line of scrimmage? How do you time their destination if you don't know exactly when they will get off the line and start in that direction?

Good point. This is backed up by all the errant passes on a lot of quick routes this season. The timing was screwed up.

It's a bad situation for this team when the QB, the star WR, along with other WR's, both have come out and said that Garrett's system is a part of the problem.

I just wanna know why TO got crushed after doing the Deion interview saying the same thing Romo is saying now. He probrably saw this coming back then. Now when Romo says it its "yeah screw Garrett". I bet nobody responds to that.

You can only make so many changes with players considering the salary cap. Unfortunately, the Cowboys are stuck with the players they've acquired and fat contracts they've dished out.
Romo and TO are staying.

On the othe hand, Garrett, can be replaced with a more experienced coordinator like Norv with minimal consequences. Jerry might miss out on realizing Garrett's full potential, but this window is only open for so long. Jerry sold the farm for THIS team to win.

Maybe the fans will listen now that Romo the great says it.

It is stupid of Romo to say that as well. Just because something is true does not mean it needs to be said publicly.

How funny would be for Garrett to come up to the podium and talk about all the shoddy route running, dropped passes, mental mistakes, costly turnovers, and etcetera.

That would make for a real cohesive team. Just "keepin'it real" is just another way of back stabbing and has no business being done on a football team and I do not care if it is Romo or TO.

The media baits T.O. and he falls for it way too often. He's been better the last few weeks....but he has a history of feeding the media exactly what they want to here. I don't think T.O. means harm, but I think his drama has a negative effect on this team. Plus, as Emmitt always points out...he usually talks personal goals, not team goals.

This is the first time Romo is blaming another player/coach.
