Romo redzone passer rating

My problem with Romo in the red zone is we don't do enough bootleg with him. He's as mobile as McNabb, I think. We ought to run a lot of Romo bootlegs with Witten and Phillips in the flats to give that run-pass option.

Couldn't agree more. One thing I missed seeing the past two seasons from Romo was his scrambling. I really think he can be a very similar play to Rodgers, but we haven't seen it as much from him lately.

The redzone play I miss is the TE delay to the back of the end zone. When Dan Campbell was here, it was an automatic touchdown on that play if he was in the game in a goalline situation.

I like Romo's chances in the red zone, but I still think it's important that they also establish an effective running game that has the consistent ability to convert opportunities into rushing touchdowns. The more ways the Cowboys can score in the red zone the better.

Couldn't agree more. One thing I missed seeing the past two seasons from Romo was his scrambling. I really think he can be a very similar play to Rodgers, but we haven't seen it as much from him lately.

I'm a huge Romo fan... but if I had to pull out one thing about him that bothers me, it's that sometimes when he "works on something" he wants to do to improve his play, I think he takes it too far. Don't get me wrong, I love that he is constantly trying to improve and work on something he perceives as a weakness.

The first thing I remember him working on was trying to stay in the pocket longer, so he wouldn't run into the pressure. I thought it was a great idea, and I'm glad he did that. But his ability to extend the play when he came in the league was uncanny. It was a weapon when he used it at the right times, and I think he's lost some of that since he worked on staying in the pocket longer.

He worked on keeping his feet calmer like Tom Brady does in the pocket. Also a good thing, but it may have added to his reluctance to scramble out of the pocket when the opportunity presents itself.

He just seems consciously hesitant to scramble.

Ill never forget that Charger game in 2009, didnt we have 4th and goal at the one, gave it to Barber 4 times? That was painful to see
and we lost by a few points and would have had homefield against Minny if we won that

Redzone efficiency is one of the most important stats in the game. It shows he handles pressure well, handles defenses well, and can lead his team to points.

Bottom line for all those folks is a good percentage of Romo's errors come when the team lets him down and he has to force things.

Running the ball in is the preferred method. We just have not been able to do it lately. Where is Emmitt when u need him.
