Except Danny White actually won 5 playoff games.

I was riding the Romo bandwagon as hard as anyone over the past 2 years, but he really let me down yesterday.

I finally realize that Tony is nothing more than a December/January choker, a ******* big time Charlie.

Tony may even get us some playoff wins in his career, but mark my words: he will never win a Lombardi. (Just like Danny White)

:lmao2:

Don't get too down on Romo man. You've gotta take into account the worthless, heartless players around him and the even more pathetic/apathetic coaching staff coaching him and gameplaning for him. I'm not saying Romo is perfect but he really doesn't have much support at all.

If Romo has at least the career, in terms of playoff victories and such, as Danny White then I'll be happy cause it means we're at least in it, and competitive, for the majority of his career.

And, just to be clear, the fact that anyone blames all that on White is hilarious. I could be wrong, I was pretty young at the time, but I don't recall Danny White playing defense when The Catch was allowed or playing on the D-Line when the Commanders ran the 50-Gut, or whatever they called it, like 9 straight plays to kick our tails in the playoffs.

But, yeah, clearly it was all White in those games as well.

The sooner some fans realise that football is, was, and always will be a TEAM sport the sooner they'll realise that the QB problems are not our only problems.

You could put Tom Brady or Peyton Manning on this team this year and you'd likely be in no better shape because Tom Brady and Peyton Manning can't overcome defensive letdowns, mental mistakes, piss poor coaching, and horrible special teams play every single week either.

But, yeah, continue to think it's all the QB.

I hope Romo gets to be like Danny White. They way they look, they are a couple of years away from just getting to the playoffs. At least Danny White one some playoff games, with Romo here I am not so sure we will ever win a playoff game.:(

It's a little premature to label Tony Romo.

At this point, he has proven he can put up great numbers during the Regular Season.

Now he has to prove that he can have success in the Post Season.

Every quarterback that has played this game has that same progression.

1) Prove you belong in the League

2) Prove not only that you belong that you can have great games

3) Prove that you can have success in the Post Season

4) As an extension of #3, Prove you can win the Super Bowl

Right now, Romo is on #2. Now how long will he stay there, that is anybody's guess.

Good post, Mike.

As fans, all we can hope for is that he takes the next step in the progression.

It;s a good post but it's clear that a good number of fans think you're supposed to go from 1 to 3-4 right away or you suck your entire career.

Danny White would be embarrassed to be compared to that loser. As well he should be too.

Stop! Danny White was better, won playoff games.

Romo is what he is. He does not have the " it " to get us anywhere. I am willing to give him 2 more years, but it is more clear everytime he talks as well as his up and down bipolar body language.

Yeah, well I don't ever remember Danny White taking the beating Romo has. You put Danny White behind Romo's O-line,and he will have.

Danny White was also a good punter and allowed the team an extra roster spot each year because of his versatility.

The other funny part of that is that Danny White was surrounded by a team of guys that knew how to win and played to win. I'm not sure people can even come close to saying that about Romo.

Dallas really just does seem like a bunch of individuals that don't have a clue how to win and sometimes I'm not even sure if they care to try and learn what it takes to win.

Don't insult Danny White like that.

Romo's more like Steve Pelleur.

To me White symbolizes that forgettable era, rather than accounts for it. White individually and the Cowboys collectively were usually pretty damn good but never quite good enough.

I liked Danny White better, he at least took them to Championship Games and won in the Playoffs just couldn't get to the Superbowl. Heck, with Romo he can't even get to the Playoffs before he chokes.
