As a drunken Jerry once said “Romo was a miracle”. He made Cowboy games watchable again after the Vinny Testaverdes and Quincy Carters. It’s a sad and lonely place to be a fan of a team without a real QB. Ask the Texans fans with the bags over their heads.

I got news for ya. I think Cowboys fans are harder on him than any non cowboys fans.

The only fans I've seen trash him is Cowboy fans and casual football fans that really don't watch many of his games. They hear what the media says and they immediately buy into it without a second thought.

Most of the people I know who follow the NFL closely actually think Romo is a very good QB, and some of those guys even hate Dallas lol.

Win a ring, all the question marks go away.

Stole my answer.

That's why he's not mentioned in the same breath as the 'elite quarterbacks', the ring.

He won't get the credit he deserves until he gets one.

Right. If you put it in perpective, Romo is an undrafted free agent from a small time college program that was thrust into the most polarizing position in all of sports. All in all id say he has handled it as well as anyone could ever expect and exceeded every expectation for that pedigree.

We are lucky to have the guy especially with Jerry's approach to solidifying the position through the draft (or lack of)

I'd like to add that Romo I think has the most game winning drives since he's been named the starting Qb in 06. If not the most he's at the top for sure. And that number could be so much higher. I can think of several games that Romo drove us down to win the game and another phase of the team lost it for us. Bailey missed a fg against Baltimore. Had a fg blocked vs the giants. Garrett iced bailey against Arizona. The list goes on and on. Anyway his choker label is completely out of bounds and couldn't be further from the truth.

The flip side is the Romo apologists. If you say something about a bad throw Romo made you instantly become a Romo hater to them. I greatly appreciate Romo but i know he is not perfect.

And I didn't even touch on games where romo drove us down to take the lead only to have the defense let the other team go right back down to beat us. But then romo gets the ball back with 22 seconds and throws a pick and he's a choker

I agree. But the "apologists" lobby so hard for the man because of all the unwarranted hate he gets that is absolutely undeserved. By all accounts he's a great guy who does a lot of charity work and helps out his community. He's the American dream. Undrafted free agent to starter of the Dallas cowboys. He's not an *** to the media. He's very respectful. He's not a crybaby. Almost any body else would be praised yet all he gets is laughed at and made fun of and treated like he's babe laufenberg

And he is not perfect but there isn't any Qb in the NFL that is perfect either

He won't get credit from non-savy media and fans. Football people give him ton's of respect

Some of it is unwarranted, some of it has justification. It is not a black and white subject. Talking about Romo is like talking about religion or politics. People have strong opinions about it. In the end, Romo will have to win a Championship. It’s not just the media that has doubts, its the players too. For example Giant players saying they expected Romo to make a late minute mistake. I want Romo to win a Super Bowl for himself.

Maybe the players watch too much ESPN?

TOO LATE MARA!!!!!! :D[/quote]

That and the blue uniforms. How will Romo overcome this? Tune in tomorrow and we'll find out.

Personally i have this argument with all of my friends. Including football fans who despise Romo. I ask them the question i ask everyone. Would you want him on your team. The non cowboys fans say hell no, the cowboys fans i ask would you rather have brady or manning behind our offensive line? Then i get the whole you cant compare those QBs bla bla bla talk. But at the end of the day. With the offensive lines romo has dealt with over the years i dont see brady or manning doing better then him. Actually i see 2 career ending injuries lol
