After 1/4 of the 2007 season, Tony Romo is:

Passing: 72/121, 59.5%, 1199 yards, 11 TDs, 3 ints, QB rating 112.9,
Rushing: 10 for 71 yards, 2 TDs (plus the potential play of the year!)

That's 300 yds/game, 16.65 yards/completion, 9.9 yards/attempt and 7.1 yards/rush!

And the final kicker: 0 fumbles!!!!

I love that stat. I do worry sometimes how the ball is positioned when he is running around.

He does hold the ball like a loaf of bread when he moves around.

Figure those stats out over the course of a season, (I know... it's premature, but still fun to look at), and you are looking at around 4800 yards, 44 TDs, 12 Ints, 280 rushing yds, 8 rushing TDs, and still.... 0 fumbles!

He is having an MVP calibur year so far. He might just be a lock if not for guys like Brady and Peyton constantly torching the NFL themselves.

I have a question about the bad snap from Gurode. How does the yardage that Romo ran for on that third down play get recorded? It doesn't look like it gets recorded as a rushing stat based on Romo only showing 24 yards on 3 carries. That third down play went for 37 yards on its own.

When he's moving around looking for a target, I'd be happier if he would keep both hands on the ball. Holding the ball out there with one hand is just asking for trouble.

Only if you count the 33 yards that the snap went backwards. From the line of scrimmage to the point he went out of bounds was 4 yards. It was 3rd and 3.
