Danny White won 67 games with the Cowboys as a starter in his career. Up until just a few weeks ago, he was the Cowboys' No. 3 QB all-time in terms of total career victories for Dallas.

Romo recorded his 69th victory as starting QB with the Cowboys yesterday. Of course, he got his 68th win the week before, against Houston, so this thread is late. Still, though, Romo has moved past White in the franchise records this season and is now the Cowboys' No. 3 quarterback all-time in total career wins as a starter.

I wasn't able to find the exact number of games that Staubach (the No. 2 quarterback) won as a starter - maybe more than 90? - but I think Romo would need at least three more very good seasons - after this one - to surpass Staubach and become No. 2 all-time. Romo has an outside chance, but it's doubtful.

I just want this team to continue to get better and better and add some more pieces next season and give this guy a real shot at getting a Superbowl trophy for the Dallas Cowboys before it's all done for him.

He's absolutely one of my favorite players and it's been a real honor as a fan to watch him play for the Dallas Cowboys.

In other news, believe it or not, Garrett might become the Cowboys' No. 2 winningest head coach all-time (in terms of total career victories with Dallas,) overtaking Jimmy Johnson.........................as soon as the end of next season.

Mid-2016 season or the end of the 2016 season is probably more likely, though.

I believe Staubach has 85 regular season wins, and Aikman has 94 regular season wins.

Lol, you're right. He's tied with Parcells with 34 wins right now, and ahead of him .531 to .548 in terms of winning percentage. That happened quietly.

I posted last week what Staubach's record was, but can't remember what it was, or what thread it's in. Yesterday Romo also tied Staubach for 114 career starts.

And Sunday I believe they put that down as a come from behind, 4th quarter leading, drive for Romo giving him almost 30 of those in his career.

Pretty good for a QB that people constantly try and claim blows it every time in the clutch.

Those 8 win seasons add up quickly. I kid, I kid! :D

Yah. I'm not pimping Jason here necessarily. But I was surprised when I looked it up just now.

You forgot to add certain criticism that his 4th quarter come from behind wins were tainted because of victories over sub .500 teams. I cannot wait for a critic to revisit that line of thinking in the future.

It'll be tough to catch Staubach. It'll still be about 20 games behind if we win something like 11 or 12 games this year. And while we have a base built for a team that can win long term. You can never tell what will happen years down the line. Particularly with Romo being 34 years old. In the league today it's tough to say we can see 3 more years of 10+ wins, when SB teams constantly either miss the playoffs or lose in the first round of the playoffs anymore. I hope we get some defensive players and keep most of the offensive weapons we have and are able to have 3 or 4 more years of 10+ win seasons though. But again thinking that long term in today's game is hard. Just a few years ago nobody would have thought that the Steelers would be as consistently average as they've been the last couple years.

Should take Romo 3 seasons (average 10 wins per). With this new emphasis on running the ball, no problem.

Romo will go down as the winningest Cowboys QB ever. What he did with some of the crappiest teams to just make them competitive is crazy. I honestly believe for years Jerry thought he could surround Romo with this, that and the other thing and as long as Romo was taking snaps the Cowboys had a chance to win. I hope the last 1.5 years (having to watch how close that philosophy came to crippling Tony literally) has had the impact on him I think it has.
