Romo was interviewed by Mickey on the coaches show/Ch. 11 this morning about why Miles has exploded this year.

Why? He said Austin is "SO much better in and out of his breaks" than when he arrived ... Like night and day. ... He was really raw on his patterns when he arrived here, Tony says.

Tony said for receivers it's a slow process, doing stuff at NFL speed with reps against the best competition, learning the mental part too, and it's all a lot to learn. Said he (Romo) has it easy learning everything because he doesn't have to do it at full speed like the WRs.

Interesting interview, hope they put it up at DC.com ....

BTW Babe Laufenberg on Cowboys pregame this morning continued his love for Ogletree. Said he 'very well could be the second best receiver on the team right now ....." (he didn't name the best, you can guess) ... Babe is usually right on this stuff.

If Otree is truly our second best WR, we are about to wreak havoc on secondaries all across the league.

I'm not from Dallas so I don't see a lot of Babe, but to even mention it is a big deal. Crayton has been solid in his roll and Roy is coming around. I'd like to see us just keep working him in a little at a time.

If Ogletree continues to shine we can forget about drafting a wr in the 1st 4 rounds...

If ogletree is our second best WR on the team right now then that doesnt say much for the rest of the receivers. Its nothing for or against Ogletree but what has he done to warrant such praise?

It sure would be nice to focus on some guys we can groom into stud starters on the Oline as our current group gets older.

Miles Austin was as raw a wide receiver prospect as I've seen.

I was surprised we kept him as an inactive sixth receiver, but it immediately made me realize how much Bill Parcells liked his potential.

Sky Miles needed two years of work before he was ready to have a role and then knee injuries kept him from staying on the field.

It's a great story of hard work on Austin's part and patience by the coaching staff paying off.

I expect that is what the coaching staff will continue to do.

A big reason for Kevin Ogletree looking so promising is that he only has to do certain things when on the field. His head isn't spinning trying to read coverage and adjust his route based on that, etc.

But there is no question KO has a bright future in Big D.

That is very exciting.

Yeah I hope we draft the best LT on the board, maybe even two...

Theebs made a point that Babe is very close with the Garretts and I pay attention to when he starts hinting around about players.

I believe Babe was the first guy on the Miles Austin bandwagon a while ago, can't wait to see Ogletree explode - I just hope we don't negate his progress because we're worried about hurting feelings.

It's more about pay day incentives and the obligation we have on paper with 1st stringers...:(

LT is a must-have. Free may end up being "the" guy once Flo is done but they need quality depth.
