People are so foolish.

The point being missed by everyone is that romo told him it was just football and that he was JOKING.

Its click bait thread titles and sites like pro football talk that put this out there like Romo was making some huge declaration.

Go read the comments on the crap PFT site. Nothing but hate for Romo.....and why? Because people are dumb and just read the headline and missed the whole part about what romo was saying.

this is why we never got to have fun joking around Romo....because fans are so incredibly stupid that they can't handle it.

So frustrating. Its like when I go to a school function and the teachers asked the parents and people in the audience not to clap until the end after every kid sings or whatever and immediately half the room claps instantly. Everybody is stupid.
People are stupid. Point blank period.

Cliff Avril followed through with plans to reach out to Tony Romo and received an optimistic response from the Cowboys quarterback, who suffered a fractured bone in his back after a hit by the Seahawks defensive end.

"You take care of the NFC West, we will see yall in the playoffs," Romo texted to Avril, the defensive end told the Star-Telegram on Friday.

Avril said on Aug. 28 that he would reach out to Romo after learning the severity of his injury. He told the newspaper that he sent texts and left voicemails for the quarterback.

"I hit him up to see how he was doing and to let him know it wasn't intentional," Avril told the newspaper. "He hit me back saying it was football and it was a freak accident. He started joking and saying 'You take care of the NFC West and we will see you in the playoffs.'"

Good guy, that Cliff Avril.

As long as he's not in traction in a hospital somewhere, I want my QB planning on having a winning, successful season.

Just *** is the problem here?

Romo didn't mean,"we'll see you in the playoffs". He meant he'd watch the Seahawks on TV when they make it.....

Like the confidence in Romo.. maybe dak plays just good enough and Romo takes us over the top? Either way I hope it turns out in our favor.

Pretty cool of Avril, though, to follow up. I've broken bones before in sporting events---not mine, but guys I was playing against. I have a pretty much alls-fair-in-wrestling-or-football attitude, but you still feel horrible watching them cry after you took them out and broke something on them.

Also, you feel a bit like a boss, but you don't want anybody to know that part.
Exactly. When I played football, I laid a few people out. It felt great. Not as much when I realize the guy is hurt. When I found out that they can still play in the future, I felt great again.
