For the sample I chose the 8 QB's with the highest yardage totals, plus Jeff Garcia. I include Garcia because he was especially good against the blitz last year, and that apparently has an effect on the number of blitzes he's seeing this year (not many). Although Garcia does have fewer attempts than anybody else, he's been blitzed just 7 times in 90 attempts, which is the lowest % on the list by far.

Brady's 61% burn percentage means he's converted the first down 61% of the times teams have blitzed the Patriots on a pass play. Not surprising to see Brady and Manning above 50% here, but Romo at 52% with his 14 career starts is quite impressive. Romo's rating of 119.4 vs. the blitz through 4 games is almost double his rating from last year.

Romo isn't doing too bad, he just might make it as an NFL QB. :D

Just because you blitz, doesn't mean you pressure the QB.

Just wait until the league has enough film on him.

Yeah. He won't even be making completions then... much less against the blitz.

That Commanders incredible front 4 on defense will eat him alive!

Brady's line has to be considered at this time a better pass blocking unit. So how much of that is to THEIR credit and not Brady? No D is as vulnerable as one that has blitzed and has NOT got to the QB fast enough.

That's a fact. When we blitz and get stonewalled (more in prior years than this season)... I'm just waiting to see how long the completion will be.

I see it far less this season that before. Now, when we blitz, at least the pocket starts collapsing, even if we don't quite get the sack. You know the QB is feeling heat, at the very least.

Both those quotes speak to the O-line's part in handling blitzes, and they're valid. But, I'd also add that dealing with a blitz begins before the snap of the ball. This year, Romo is much better at blitz recognition. Brady has better receivers, which also plays a part.

Were these completions taken before or after "videogate"? :)

Remember back when Big Bill told the team that they would make other teams pay for blitzing? Then we seen most of the QBs wilt under the pressure due to bad O-line play and QB Play.

Now with good QB play and O-Line play we are finally making teams pay for blitzing.
