Do you realize that *if* Terrell 'Butterfinger' Owens catches that 78 yrd TD pass that Romo would have delivered at least a 350 yd 3 TD performance against a Gregg Williams defense on the road?!

Um, that my friends is downright spectacular. The other thing I noticed is that the play of Tony Romo is basically bailing this team out of big holes, time and time again. If Witten isn't false starting, and T.O. isn't dropping 4th down passes or 75+ yrd TD bombs, if Roy Williams isn't letting slip interceptions, ok ok you guys get the idea here. . . . Tony is excelling IN SPITE of his PROBOWL teammates, at times.

Can it be, can it REALLY be, that we finally have our franchise QB?!

Problem is. It didn't happen. Woulda, Coulda, Shoulda, but didn't. While it's fun to dream, thats all it is. Dreamers dream, doers make things happen. I think Romo is playing fantastic, but Football is a team sport and until the team plays well together, expect idiot losses like the Giants and Commanders losses.

while 350 yards 3 TDs would've been nice....the 284 yard, 2 TD day he had was astouning on its own.

If TO catches that ball, it would have totally changed the way the rest of the game would have been played, as in, Dallas would have most likely run more. I understand what you're saying, but everything would have changed at that point.

Tony could have helped himself more if he would have put a little more air on the pass to Witten near the goal line that the Deadskin LB made a 'great' play on and Dallas settled on a FG.

yes it was. And for the first time in about 3 years.. on that last drive that set up what should have been the game winning FG,, he looked poised and make perfect throws.. and I was expecting it. How many times in the last couple of years in that situation have you expected anything other than an INT from our QB. Its only 2 games, but the kid looks like he can play this game.

I want to hold myself and make an objective statement. But, I think most of us want Romo to be the QB we are waiting for! But it's only 2 starts and well, the skins gave us more trouble than expectec, in fact we lost.

I sense good things in Romo, but we will need to see him against tougher opponents. I am very satisfied with his performace against the Commanders, he was impressive. Lets see how he does against the Cardinals!

i don't think bigdplayer would disagree with anything you said.

however, you did not address your comments to his question.

could it be that we have found our next franchise QB?

Thats impressive, but doing it against a Greg Williams defense isn't anything special anymore. The Skins defense is outright bad this year.

Romo played very well, but I'm still not going to annoint him as our franchise QB...yet. I'll wait until the end of the season.

Nothing wrong with that. I think he has played very good in his 1st 2 starts and if he continues to play to that level then I think Dallas very well may have found our starting QB for a good while

It's a little early to tell, BUT Romo is looking really good right now. Thus far he hasn't faced a great defense though the Giants are looking a lot better since their trip to Atlanta and Romo floundered during that game. I'm not holding that against him. That was a huge move and while he was preped to play (Parcells knew a head of time he might play him) he didn't have a full week to prepare and probably the biggest thing I approve of from him is how he beleives 210% in preparation. It's what the great QBs do. (Manning, Elway, Farve, Montana, Aikman) They all did. He seems to have that instilled in him now. That my friend is BIG. I am excited for many reasons about Romo. To see what he has done and to know what he does before the game. That looks like the making of a great QB, but still time will tell.
