There can be life outside of football but there shouldn't be life outside of Dallas Cowboys Football. Especially if you play for us. There wasn't for Roger or Troy....

Yeah, Troy didn't date Janine Turner or Lorrie Morgan... :D

If you really think Tony Romo is as committed to Dallas Cowboys football as Brady or the Mannings are to their respective teams...then you've got another thing comming.

I used to think that you were a quality poster...

I know better now... this weak crap is just embarrassing...

You ought to be ashamed of yourself. Trying to steal the stupid thread of the day from dboy214. You probably did it, but that's just dirty pool.

That's OK, dboy has already nailed down the stupid threads of the year award for both 2011 and 2012... he has no reason to feel threatened by this wannabe... :D

There we have it from an expert on the subject!

If anybody should be able to recognize a dumb thread, he'd be the guy...

Roger and Troy were committed and they would have no doubt already been working to make themselves better for next season.

Are you trying to suggest that they never took a vacation??

Are you THAT ignorant??

So would anyone who is committed to anything. When you fail you get up and try harder the next day. That's life when you really love what you do.

Odds are Peyton was working out today.

If that's true, you do know that he's had a full year off, don't you?? So he doesn't really need a vacation at the end of a long, grueling season, does he??

Really, man, give it up.,.. you're embarrassing yourself... as I said earlier, you're setting a standard for Romo that you'd never be willing to live up to your own self... which makes you a cosmic hypocrite...

One other thing-- we have seen what happens when a quarterback truly does live football 24/7/365 the way you're suggesting... his name was Todd Marinovich, and there has never been a player more dedicated to his craft (thanks to his father)... and he burned out in spectacular fashion, turned to drugs for an escape from reality...

No human being could commit himself as completely as you demand and not flame out... Romo taking a little Vegas vacation is a good thing, and shouldn't be cause for an ignorant rant from a know-nothing fan...

yep the threads when i called out the defense when it wasn't a popular opinion, when i said wade was not the main one at fault, when i said the giants are to be taken seriously....all of the threads that i've made over the last year where my 'unpopular' opinions/predictions came true were dumb?

Yup...

i too wish romo was as stoic/serious as aikman and staubach. i feel your quarterback should be clean cut, conservative, and professional like they were. but i can't criticize him for this.

Yeah, you can't be a hard partier and a successful NFL quarterback... just ask Joe Namath, Sonny Jurgensen and Jim McMahon...

Nope, you have to be stoic, buttoned down, never crack a smile, never have any fun, or you'll never be any good...

I think I will go back to avoiding the board for a few more weeks.

Way to put him in his place, silverbear, hope you are doing well. Definitely enjoy your posts.

You should probably avoid CZ for a few more months. It's not gonna to get any more tolerable in the next couple of months.

Just because you have never committed yourself to anything worth while doesn't mean people don't pursue greatness.

And when exactly have YOU ever committed yourself to anything the way you're demanding of Romo??

Know that Superbowl winning and League MVP Peyton Manning was working out today while our QB was getting drunk.

You can prove that Peyton wasn't taking the day off, or on vacation?? Can you prove that he hasn't taken ANY vacations over the course of this last year??

If you can't-- and you can't-- you're just pulling garbage out of your anal orifice... which is precisely why there's nothing even vaguely resembling intelligence in any of your contributions to this thread... you are just spewing the most amazing idiocy...

Some people don't want to face what it takes to really be the best you can be.

What Romo does when it comes to taking vacations, EVERY NFL quarterback does... you're talking young men with wealth and fame and a full load of testosterone, it wouldn't be normal if they didn't...

Your belief that NFL quarterbacks should live the life of a monk is completely idiotic...

I mean, here you are, cranking out a series of incredibly ignorant posts on a silly football message board; why aren't you doing your job, Mr. Dedication??

Hypocrite alert... hypocrite alert...

Obviously not, look at all the time he's wasting posting in here... so now we know that besides having completely ridiculous standards, he's dishonest...

Thank you, my young friend... things are good here at the moment, and I sure do hope you can say that same...

If you find the time, PM me, I'd like to know what you're doing since you graduated, but this isn't the forum for that talk...

Of course it doesn't help the example Romo gets from the top of this organization and the example the fans get in Dallas is a loser mentality.

Yeah why can't he be more like Joe Namath?
