The thing that separated Brady was his clutch factor, so far it looks like Romo has the same ability.

But playoffs is a whole nother ball game, we shall see. But i like my chances with Romo

Brady wasn't asked to do a whole heck of a lot his that year.

I think that says something about Romo, he's carried this offense, imo.

3rd down is a pressure down and Romo excels in that area. I have faith that Romo will respond favorable in pressure situations during the playoffs. The eagles defense will not be able to pin their ears back and tee-off on Bledsoe this time around and must respect Romo elusiveness.

I'd say wait until playoffs to compare the two.

Terry Glenn was Brady's Terry Glenn.

I don't know who Whitten is.

In 14 starts, Brady only won one game when the opponent scored more than 17 points that season.

In 8 starts, Romo has already doubled that.

Wasn't Glenn suspended that year?

Statistically, Romo is a more feared passer than Brady was early. There were several games -- or so it seemed -- that Brady wouldn't do much until the final minutes.

But this comparison really isn't valid until Romo gets a Super Bowl under his belt. We can compare their styles and what not, but I don't think a statistical comparison means much until Romo shows something in the postseason.

I guess you guys got me. I misspelled Witten and thus my point is mute. I will concede this one but I'll also wait until Romo wins a playoff game to compare him to Brady.

Troy Brown made the pro-bowl that year. That was in his prime.

Since it's unfair to compare Romo to a player with a Super Bowl ring, that doesn't necessarily preclude us from comapring him to, say, McNabb. :)

Just bustin' your chops...

In that case, McNabb only put up these types of numbers in one season.

The 2001 Pats started 3-4, then went on a 12-game run in which they held the opponent to 17 points or less 11 times.

The only time they gave up more than 17, they lost.

Imagine this Cowboys team going into a game knowing that all they had to do was score 18 points.

Thanks for the post.

Romo probably could have gone 12-4 or 13-3 this year.

Yes... it speaks volumes as to what Bill thinks of Romo's ability.

Then they could just skip the 1st half and play the 2nd. :D
