It has not yet hit me how magnifico Romo was last night.
It's as if i do not yet want to believe it because it might be a dream and instead awaken soon to the Giants defense shredding Romo and his men.
It was as if he could pass at will against the GiANTs middle. Anytime he wanted a big gain, go to Witten or even his WRs. He stood in the pocket and was patient. Other times he showed how mobile he could be. He was almost like a Michael Vick with a brain.
But let's forget his production.
This boy was having fun!
More fun than a schoolkid who was given an extra 30 minutes by his mom to play football before dinner.
Having more fun than my drunken congressman giving away money to military contractors.
He was having more fun than Parcells being sarcastic at a post-game news conference.
With Romo, he has this look of giddiness, excitement, wonder that he is doing what he has always wanted to do and then lead the most glamorous athletic team in the universe.
Pumping a fist, running around congratulating his players, backslapping, grinning
What a gift Parcells gave us when he plucked this undrated unknown.
I challenge anyone to name a player outside of Dandy Don who was more excited to play than Romo.
It's enough to make me want to go John Facenda voce to praise him. But you wouldn't want that.
