Is it me or is he slinging it better than ever?

That duck and chuck to Twill in the 4th was beautiful.

Tony said he was going to throw it better when the season started. The guy doesn't just say stuff without a reason.

He has thrown a number of beautiful deep balls lately. He really has gotten sharper as the season has progressed.

I didn't get to see the game today. But he was so on point against Indy.

I had to watch redzone. I saw him get tackled by the arm right before half.

Then in the game thread people kept saying he was off and there were all these incompletions and I got worried he had hurt his arm or shoulder.

Looks like he is fine now though. What happened on that pass to t will. I still don't know.

That ball was probably 60ish yards in the air and hit TWill perfectly in stride.

When Romo can set his feet and throw he's probably about as good as he has ever been.

His big limitation right now is throwing in awkward positions and elusiveness in the pocket isn't what it once was. Interestingly, he still throws really good when rolling out of the pocket so long as there isn't extreme pressure. But then again, no one really throws well on the run under extreme pressure.

He's never thrown the deep ball this good. Very surprising considering many including myself questioned his arm strength. Keep it up Romo.

It's not really that surprising when you think about it;.

Tony has never really been a physical specimen. He's even gotten comments on these forums about being "fat" at times. However, he made comments earlier in the year about how when you have a back injury you have to pay special attention to how and what you work out. He may be in the best shape physically he's been in his career because of his back injury.

Thanks Eskimo.

Romo calls it "piercing." So, yes. He's piercing the ball better than ever IMO.

I cannot figure out why, but Romo seems to be much more accurate.

One might suspect its because he has time to throw. But even his quick draw passes are very on target.

I hope they ride that accuracy into a Lombardi.

You guys are tripping.

The Game Threads should be used for pure comedy purposes only. For anyone to take it serious, you have real issues.

It's just the way the fans on this board are structured. Scream, yell, overreact, act hysterical, and condemn every player that makes 1 mistake. Then if we win, just throw everything out the window that you said, because you will make a thread or reply to a post praising the same players you threw under the bus.

It's how it is, just go in there for laughs.

Exactly. I'm glad that the things I say during the game in the privacy of my own home aren't recorded. I pace, I yell, I tell my wife about all the bad decisions we're making as a team, but that's just being a fan. You're up and down as the game goes along. There's nothing wrong with that. Some people just share those thoughts on a message board and people go back and point out their overreactions like they aren't true fans.

That's silly.

Romo is showing us the best version of him we have ever seen. But that one ill-advised interception was horrendous.

The whole offense started coasting and it took us a bit to shake it off. That includes Romo. Just looked like we mentally checked out after that Dunbar TD was called back.

I can tell by the title if it's worth the trouble. Just like this thread ... there was a time when the running theme was "Romo can't throw the deep ball". Now we have a thread that Tony's strength is throwing the deep ball but his limitation is throwing in akward positions :omg:.

I think so I think he is getting healthier, I think the core work he does on Wed have helped him not only with the arm and back but his legs.

It's often said that Romo is a guy who is always tinkering with his mechanics, repeating a new throwing motion over and over until it's his natural go-to. I seem to recall some offseason comments from him saying that he had found something new that would make his throws more accurate.
