Ogletree got crossed over. You can tell Romo plays/played basketball by some of the things he did/does on the field.

I would like to see him bring back his shoulder fake pump he used to do all the time.

he actually had a scholarship to play basketball iirc

Both those are funny. I think they underestimated his legs, like I may have. Speaking of legs, I think Romo should do more of this or throw it away if nothing is there, just slide and don't take any hits.

Seeing Romo run like that was like some 07 Romo. I doubt he's 100% quite yet, but it looks like he's close.

They showed highlights from around the league on the big screen during halftime at the Superdome Sunday and the Romo pick six was the only highlight that got any reaction from the fans and of course it was all laughs......Wasn't so funny when "34-31" flashed a bit later

I didn't know that but I've heard Deion Sanders mentioning how good Romo was playing basketball. I think few years back they played BBall together during the off season.

Not at all. He saw the rusher getting around the RT and was going to spin left because the trusted is LT protection, and because that's where 3 of his receivers were. Then, when he saw the pressure coming off the LT, too, he ducked and moved up and made the throw. That was an example of Romo's ability to avoid pressure *not* being overrated.

Look how wide that rusher off RT was. You really think Free got beat on that play? And the fact that his end point after the whole spin around was right back up in the pocket proves my point. All he had to do was step up in the pocket in the first place like every basic QB drop in the NFL every Sunday.

What's as impressive as Romo's scramble is how Zach Martin stone walls his guy and FredBeard rag dolls his guy. Both are going to be real good ones for long time for us as long as they are healthy.

I think that's asking a lot from a guy who has been pretty mercilessly beaten behind some horrible lines throughout his career.

If that's the case and he can't trust the line then someone else needs to be in there. We never used that excuse as a reason to keep David Carr as a QB in the NFL even though it's clear he got beat up. You can't play like that.

Let me be clear. I think Romo is a top 10 QB in this league and gives us a chance almost every time against almost every team. But here is an example of him making a simple play more complicated than it needs to be.

It is good to see Romo doing this again. He's never been a big scrambler, but he's always been shifty in a resourceful way that would let him make something out of nothing. How many times did he have a bad snap go over his head and he would not only pick up the ball and save a turnover, but make enough moves with his legs or arms to get a first down or big play downfield. We are going to need flashes of that Romo if we have any dream of getting near 8-8/9-7 this year.

he could and did play, but felt like he was all he could ever become as far as bball goes and that he had reached his ceiling. he chose football because he felt he could learn and do something and have more potential.

dude just loves to master and maximize himself with sports...same thing he tries to do with football and golf.
