Trent Dilfer just gave an impressive analysis of Romo's mechanics on NFL Network's Gameday.

He said he was expecting to see a train-wreck when he started film study, but came away very impressed. Said Romo's making everyone look good....but we all know that.

Anyone else see that?

I said during Pre Season LAST year that I thought his mechanics were bad.

I'll gladly shut up now.:

Romo's mechanics are far better than they were last year. I think the fact that he has a lot more time to throw this year has a lot to do with the improvement in that regard.

If they work for the QB then it does not matter if his mechanics are strange or even in violation of "The Book". I think all too often people get caught up in the arm strength and physical size and whether he can throw a perfect spiral or go down on his knees and throw it 80 yds. NONE of that means as much as how he reads D's, and how he reacts to a pass rush.

car mechanics, that is... ahem. anyway, what i wanted to say was: how good were Favre's mechanics on that underhand toss yesterday? Romo gets it done, and that's really all that matters.
