I liked him trying to bait NYJ into playing man, talking about how the Cowboys had prepared for a lot of 2 man under/zones so "he (Revis) will have help.

I think Tony has plans for that Jet secondary. Let's hope so.

The entire offseason Garrett and Co. have had nothing to do but wait for the lock out to be over, plan for training camp, and study film on the Jets.

It saddens me that I can't hear this interview.

I am sure part of the plan will be to utilize the running game more than usual. The Jets aren't particularly great up front, hopefully they exploit this.

This is a game we should win.

We have a much better offense than they do. I don't even know who their receivers are.

Anywho, Romo didn't do anything in this PC to goad them to do anything, not sure where you picked that up. PC isn't really worth listening to at all really.

Didn't sound like he was trying to bait anyone. He just said the defenses he expects to see from a Rob Ryan defense. The media ask, and he answered. He didn't say anything about man coverage or anything.

Don't know about we *should* win. I think we can, but I think we can get beat too. I think our defense is going to be questionable. Especially early in the season.

As for their receivers, they have: Santonio Holmes, Plaxico Burress, Derrick Mason, Marty Gilyard, and they drafted Jeremy Kerley out of TCU. It should be a decent set of WRs.

I don't think the passing game or running game is going to beat us. The onus is on Romo and Felix to win this game.

Whatever people want to think about the Jets, they still got scored on last year..

Of the top 10 offenses in the nfl last year, they only played the pats (2), houston, and green bay.

23.75 points per game.

They played a lot of garbage offenses. Not saying they arent a good defense, but they can definitely be beat.

And their offense was kept to 10 points or less FOUR times...

So did the cowboys.

Understatement of the year! :laugh2:

What did they do to correct it? As far as I can tell, they added no one of significance and actualy lost a few players, including their best pass rushing lineman.

On the other hand, we brought in a new defensive coordinator and will have 3-4 new starters that are expected to be an improvement over what we had. If anyone should be expected to be better on defense, it would be Dallas.

How should this be a game we should win? Were lucky if its even close. 3 new O-linemen starting their first game on the road on Sunday night primetime TV. On 9-11 in NY against one of the better Defenses in the NFL. The crowd will be crazy.

Not to mention our starting corners didnt play all Preseason. Our D looks bad right now learning a new system on the fly.

This game has all the makings of getting ugly early. I just hope Romo makes it out alive.

If you think this is a game we should win you are in for a disappointing season & night.

GB.
This post sounds very misinformed.
Just sayin'.

If there was ever a game this season where nobody should say "the Cowboys should win" it is this one.

* At New York on 9/11
* vs a possible Super Bowl contending team
* vs an emotionally charged team and crowd (emotions and crowd noise help the defenses > offenses obviously)
* 1st game for inexperienced line
* 1st game for defense learning a complicated, new system

The deck is really stacked aganst us.

Would I pick against us....NO. In fact I can't believe some used this game in that pick winner and losers game to pick us to lose--when there were so many other easier picks out there.

But, I repeat, nobody would say we should win this game.

I was very surprised by the comment. Not your usual Romo speak. I don't think I've ever heard him comment in such detail on an upcoming opponent's possible strategy.

Very odd. Especially since the proposed strategy flies in the face of conventional thinking. Jets playing cover two? Zone?

It does make me wonder if it's some sort of contrived/measured comment to perhaps lead the Jets to an incorrect conclusion??????

IDK Make them think we're expecting cover 2 zone when we're actually expecting a ton of man?

But I guess in means little. Jets are going to do what they are going to do regardless of what anyone in the Cowboy camp says.
