Romo's replacement should be the priority this off season

Not saying Tony needs to be replaced. However, we need to start the search, hopefully in this year's draft for Tony's successor. I see Tony playing 2 years max. We have to have someone in place to be ready to take over. Take a QB in round 1. If you can drop down a few slots and get some extra picks and still get our guy. Do it. If you can take a center and guard in the first round, then there is no justification that you can't take a QB there also. After this season, there should be no reason not to. We have played 4 different QB's and still don't have one.

I dont see us getting a chance at those two [who knows]
I can see Wentz making a lot of sense after all the work outs
and combines are over.

Bah, we got 4-5 years before that.

Imo Even Wentz will go in the first. After Lynch, Goff or Wentz, I don't really care for the rest of the options.

I agree with the OP but I doubt Jerry does. I'm starting to believe we won't draft a QB.

Jerry is on the Tony train till it completely falls off the rails.

Last i looked, but it will change after the combine. QB's rated overall in the draft.
Lynch at 4, Goff at 7, Cook at 15
Then in the 2nd round Hackenberg and Wentz.
After that a huge drop off. A 2-3 round grade is Cardale jones, and a 3rd round is Prescott.

If they can't get one of the first 5, then I rather they not get anyone unless they drop to the 5th or 6th.
First 4 picks I prefer QB, RB, LB, WR
Lynch / Goff, Henry, Perry, Miller
or
Elliot, Hackenberg / Wentz, Perry, Miller

You all honestly think before the season has ended Jerry is going to come out and say he is going to take a qb in the draft? Not gong to happen. I would almost be willing to bet money they will take a qb. I am hoping and praying it Is lynch, goff, or wentz. We will just have to wait and see. If we pick in the top 4 we will have the chance to get pretty much anybody that we want at any position

Either Lynch or Goff will be available when we pick, time to draft a QB again in the first rd and put back this franchise on the right path.

Ideally, Romo would announce when his last season would be so his heir could be drafted the draft prior.

It's time to consider drafting a QB on day one or trade for a young one on a current roster NOT named Manziel.

If only the rest of the league would cooperate and let us draft the QB we want when Romo announces his retirement.

You can draft a QB whenever you want. The league doesn't have to let us...

This draft just seems so weak at QB, I don't see any sort of can't miss guy among them and think it is far more likely we get the next Manziel or Weeden as it is that we get the next Luck or P. Manning. The problem is, hopefully we won't be drafting anywhere near the top 5 anytime soon, which makes it hard to find someone later.

Or a better idea, we trade back and allow a team that is truly desperate for a franchise QB go ahead of us? I'd much rather stockpile draft picks than wasting time on a week draft class in the first round.

Or we split the difference, trade back to 15 or so, and take Cook (who if nothing else will be a good backup for sure) and have an extra 2nd and 3rd to play around with.

If we don't get one of the top 3 guys, then let's look at a guy like Brandon Doughty in the 4th.

I really don't want to mess around with a first round draft pick. I understand people fanboy out for a QB every year, but these QB prospects aren't must drafts. I'd much prefer having a solid built around our next franchise QB. Let's compare two young franchise QBs right now.

Luck - Struggling due to poor drafts and signings
Wilson - Success due to the help of the team around him

Get this team built for a franchise QB before he's here.

its off the rails now I believe ... can't ride a 35-36 year old quarterback ... when Rome gets hit everyone collectively holds there breath until he rises from the turf. I'm seeing the same approach with Romo that was taken with Aikman ... so we could be a decade or more looking for a QB trotting out career backups...lol, instead of drafting one let him sit and learn from Romo and toss him the keys in a couple years this team will just fiddle around.
