Every QB has that one bad game his fans would like to yank out of his numbers.
That is every QB except Brady of the 130+ QB rating.

But they haven't had a 91.0-plus rating in ALL of their other games like Romo has. Even Peyton Manning has had three games with a rating of 86.6 or worse. Ben Roethlisberger has two games of 80.8 or worse. Nobody else but Romo (and Brady, of course) has had just one game below 91.0.

One thing this year is proving out.
YOU HALF TO HAVE IT IN THE PASSING GAME.
More specifically you must have a franchise QB.

You still need to run and you still need to stop the run.

But with all the rules changes since 1978, especially the more recent changes, it has become a passing game.

In todays game you win passing. You pass first to set up the run. You simply can not win with an average QB. You can't win with a mediocre passing game regardless of who your RB is.

On defense you win with your pass rush and coverage schemes. Recent rule changes have reduced the effectiveness of the great shut down CB. It's more critical to have no weak links in the secondary and everyone on the same page to run these complex combo coverage schemes.

We do have a franchise QB and we can run the ball and we can stop the run. We can pass protect and get after the QB. Our secondary for all it's faults is tied for 3rd in ints with 12 on the season
