Do you think they pulled back the reins on our Romo horse?

Or did they not want to pile it on?

I think they wanted to protect him ...... and not be percieved as "running up" the score.

28 points was enouth

Man, was a I ever pulling for a 6th, though. I think Aikman made a phone call to the sidelines during commercial break.

i actually parcells didnt want him getting the record, he didnt want romo getting big head, but it would have been nice to see him get the record, god knows he had several chances to get it. I wonder how aikman would have reacted.

You do not run the score up on a much lesser opponent, now had that been the Giants Parcells would have let him rip them up....LMAO!

Clearly BP called off the dogs. All those running plays in the 4th quarter should have been a good hint. Otherwise we could have hung up another TD or two.

I don't get it. There seems to be a contradiction here.

Hey now we're not the Eagles no need to run the score up when you have a 28 point lead.

I doubt if Parcells knew about the record. He didn't want to run up the score or get anyone hurt at a meaningless point in the game. It would have been fun for us fans, though. I was rooting for another TO score, so it would've been two TDS each for MBIII, TG and TO. And of course 6 for the Romonator.

Anytime Lousaka Polite is your feature back, you can bet we have no interest in scoring.

Why risk injury and why pile it on? We had the game won.

That's why TO dropped the ball

I thought Romo should have been pulled. Someone could have rolled into his knee. Bled has too much pride to hand off?

No offense, but that was a little pot-shot at Aikman.

I am very excited about Romo, but let's not put him in Aikman's class just yet.

Aikman was never a stats guy. There were plenty of times he could have got six if he just turned to Jimmy and said, let me keep throwing TDs.

Stats are overrated and only matter in fantasy football (notice the highlight). Winning was all that mattered to him, and from what I have heard Romo say, it's all that matters to him too.

I think he was taking a look at a couple things without it being a make or break setting.

He probably wanted to see Polite carry the ball a few times in case something would happen to either Jones or Barber.

Then running it 3 times he knew chances were high he was going to get a look at Vandy and give him a chance at a chip shot to hopefully reset his confidence.

That being said I agree with the crowd ... I was rooting for #6.

Pot shot at Aikman? Why would I do that? I just wanted Romo to set a record.
