I'm not quite so sure about this. Dak did great in his rookie season, but I think branding him top 10 might be premature. Nonetheless, the article is interesting.

Excerpt:
Dak Prescott has played only one season, but it arguably was the best season by a rookie quarterback in history. ESPN analyst Ron Jaworski considers Prescott one of the top-10 quarterbacks in the NFL already.

He’s a top-10 quarterback right now based on one season of play,” Jaworski said, via Matt Mosley and Ed Werder of The Doomsday Podcast. “And you look at the weapons that he has around him. I always say the quarterback is a dependent position. You depend on other people doing their job so you can do yours. When you look at the people Scott Linehan and Jason Garrett has put around him it starts with the guys up front.

Rodgers
Brady
Brees
Roethlissberger
Ryan
Carr
Wilson
Rivers

Then you have this soup of guys:

Eli
Cousins
Stafford
Luck
Newton

I just don't see it, but I'm confident he'll solidify himself.

Cousins is not in the conversation.

Eli's play has diminished greatly; he's lost arm strength.

Carr is about as good as Prescott.

Brees is not what he used to be either.

Stafford is too inconsistent to be considered better than Dak.

You have Newton way too low.

Luck is the most overrated QB in the modern era.

Eli, Cousins, Newton aren't in the league of the others, imo, Nte.

Probably (in no order):

Brady
Rodgers
Big Ben
Ryan (gosh, I hate putting him on this list)
Brees
Wilson
Carr
Rivers
Dak
Jameis

Luck
Stafford

If 61 comp%, 13 ints is nice (his 2nd year). Just don't see how that contributes to his top 10 status. When Dak has the best rookie qb year ever, and is behind Brady and Ryan in qbr, but isn't in the top 10.
3,987 yds, 32:13 TDs/INT, and 7.0 Y/A are very good (second year). So, yes.

Even his rookie year was really nice. Now, he's elite.

Edit -- and yeah, a 61% completion is pretty awesome when combined with those numbers.

When the argument is based on a rookie season only and if said QB should be rated in the top ten
his sophomore season.I'm happy.
What is still surprising is Luck's disappearance. Maybe there are examples of other once in a decade QB's becoming so so
but I am surprised.
