It happens. Donavon McNabb didn’t know a game could end in a ties despite playing in the league 7 years.

I am not surprised an NFL Head Coach is only concerned about the game in front of him. What good does it do the team to be contemplating playoff scenarios when you need to win this week? I am curious to know who's decision it was to start Wentz. That move is a potential locker room shredder. I don't believe it was Rivera's call unless Heineke was not healthy.

Bleacherreport: Making up stories (clickbait) because you are not able to write about intelligent stuff.

The guy just didnt want to answer questions about the QB. So he prentended like that was a fascinating new fact to him. Essentially he said "shut up you idiot" by saying "ahhhh we've been elemintated"

But bleacher doesnt even bother. They dont feel ashamed that they were exposed (the mediot was exposed). They just post. Earn money, nothing else matters.
Bleacher Report is far from the only entity that tweeted that exchange and reached the conclusion that Rivera didn't know his team could be eliminated.

I disagree with your theory, and they weren't eliminated by losing to the Browns, like your quote suggests... Detroit and Green Bay needed to win as well.

Detroit had already won, and Rivera had no clue his team could be eliminated with a Packers win in the late afternoon window.

Not to mention all the young guys who think they're still in college and don't bother touching an opposing player who goes to the ground with the ball.

Micah's TD this year happened because Justin Fields didn't know the rules and jumped over him.

I dont believe it for a second. He was well aware of the playoff scenarios surrounding his team.

There were several here who said Rivera was a better coach than McCarthy. I won't mention any names, but I doubt they will come out today and admit they were wrong.
its the same as its alwys been....Rivera, without a qb is just another coach. Nothing knew here. Not a coincidence that his SB year was when his qb was the MVP of the league.

Haha, remember just a year or two ago Cowboy fans said Rivera was a better coach than McCarthy..... Haha just another silly overreaction that so called Cowboy fans throw at the wall

Why do people keep doing this, you can't say someone is better than someone else while ignoring the situation around them. McCarthy would be just as successful, if that, in that dumpster fire of an organization.

He probably couldn't see from up on his high horse.
I bet Jack Del Rio knew and tried to tell ol' uppity Ron
but Ron probably threatened to fine him another $100k.

No, he's not a good guy. He's a POS.

In his defense, I'd be mentally checked out too if I was coaching losers like Carson Wentz.

Can't see these guys "getting up to play us" in a week.

I'm sure Risen is crying and blowing snot bubbles because your picking on his HOF QB Wentz.
I'm sure all the old time hogs just love what the little troll (Snyder) has done to this once proud organization.
Suck it losers.

Rivera needs to go…his attention to detail has always been lacking. More a leader of men than a good NFL HC.

you are correct.... same as Billy Boy, Payton, Tomlin... any of the "Great," coaches would suck in Washington right now because their QB situation is terrible. The sad part is that with Heineke they had a shot. WTH would chose to start Wentz over the guy that actually put you in a position to make the playoffs?

How do you know? McCarthy doesn't need everything too be great to win.

Going back to Wentz was a dumb decision that I don't think McCarthy would make
