Ron Rivera is overrated and I'm glad he's with the Skins

Seriously, this guy is another Jeff Fisher. Out of 9 seasons with the Carolina Panthers, he had THREE winning seasons and 6 losing. And it's not as though he was doing this with limited talent either, he had superstar players on defense and a franchise QB. To put into perspective, in the same time frame, Garrett had one losing season. Rivera gets by because he got to a Super Bowl where he got completely outcoached and smacked in the mouth.

This is such a typical Snyder hire and I'm glad the Commanders snatched him up before we could consider him. Now we are in a division with a dysfunctional Giants right now and a Riverboat Ron led team. Sadly, we'll be competing with Doug Pederson for years to come, who is probably the best coach outside of Belichick at this point.

He is a DC to me. And a great one. But as a HC, I think he may not even be as good as Wade Phillips.

There is just so much wrong with this post.

....then counter it, big brain.

Ron Rivera overrated? You can call this subjective, argue against it

Ron Rivera had a franchise QB? He had Cam

Ron Rivera had 6 losing seasons? This isn't debatable

Ron Rivera had superstars on defense? I mean, the 2015 is a historic defense for a reason.

But do tell us all about the greatness of Ron Rivera and how Snyder, of all people, just got someone worth a damn even though he has shown he can't evaluate coaching talent....

1. You tried to play a semantics game by comparing Rivera and Garrett, saying Garrett only has one losing season, conveniently omitting the fact that they have the exact same number of non-winning seasons, while Rivera has actually gone 15-1 and went to a Super Bowl.

2. Cam Newton might not even be the best QB on his team. Nobody thinks he's a franchise QB.

3. Doug Pederson as the best coach after Belichick? Get out of here.

I know you thought this was Big Brain Time for you, but really you were just putting on your clown makeup in front of everyone.

1. No, I didn’t. Rivera had 6 losing seasons, Garrett had one. 8-8 is not a losing season. Learn to read, think, and then respond. If your brain hurts, take a break, wipe the drool from your chin, and then return, champ. I’m pulling for ya.

2. Lol NOW he isn’t the best on his team, genius. Can Newton was a starting QB from 2011 to 2018/19 and an MVP. Rivera has been coach since 2011, thus he had a franchise QB. HURR DURR

3. Name a better coach. Name me a coach that has won a Super Bowl with a team as banged up as the Eagles in 2017, did it again 2018 getting to the playoffs and again in 2019. Please share me that long list.

I agree. He’s another one who’s good as a coordinator but average at best as an head coach

Matt, me wandering exile, dont say that.
Cowboys will roux having Rivera fix the Skins.
Rivera ad our HC.
That could have worked, but now Bryan Harsin will be our coach.
