Ronald Leary has been a pleasant surprise

Honestly - 2nd and 3rd picks don't play as well as Leary. He is flat out dominant when he makes contact. He does have a couple of plays where he could be in better position, but all in all - I think he is one of the better guards in the league.

Sandwiched between Smith and Fredbeard makes him better than he is. I'm elated at his development ... but put him next to less talented players and he'll be exposed.

I'm happy to have him though.

I remember hearing we were trying to trade up to the 3rd so we could take Trai Turner. Glad we didn't because I dont think Turner would ever beat Leary out

Yup, Callahan and crew has brought him along very nicely. Gotta love the way he stuffed JJ Watt enough last week that they moved him away from Leary. I remember some stories from his rookie year--he has some nasty in him.

Credit Romo who avoided a should be sack-fumble, possible injury and defensive touchdown all on the same play. If Romo doesn't avoid that sack, the story of that game is completely different and that play is added to Watt's hi lite reel.
