He got picked in the 5th.
And yet you hold onto the delusion someone whose ceiling is “Kenneth Gainwell” is a 3rd round talent.

Yeah, you're probably right. Something looks cool about the biggest guy on the team wearing the biggest number though. Numbers will probably change a lot before week 1. A lot of guys on the team taking up numbers, but I think Booker, Revel, and Toia (if he likes 93) are locked.

Some reports now saying Jaydon Blue took number 23 (unconfirmed).

If true it's another duplicate assignment since linebacker Buddy Johnson switched to 23 once Rico left.

They need to take this number from Buddy and give it to Blue. 23 a great number for a RB. Unique in our pantheon of RBs. In the right range for the position. Not weird or ugly.

I don't even know who Buddy is. Jerry needs to step in and take corrective action here. Consider the fans. We deserve a good RB number.

41 - Donovan Ezierauku
27 - Shavon Revel

I would expect some of these to change as the roster gets thinned and numbers become available.

We should cut Donovan Wilson so Donovan Ezierauku can get that number 6. We need some better safety play. He in his last season with the Cowboys. I wish we had drafted Nick Emmanwori but he went very high in round 2 and I would still have picked Donovan Ezierauku over him.

Tyler Booker gets to keep the same number he had in college: #52

Donovan Ezeiruaku goes from #6 in college to jersey #41.

Shavon Revel also changed jersey numbers from college #28 to #27.

Backup LB, Buddy Johnson, currently wears jersey #23. I wonder if Jaydon Blue will approach him and be willing to pay him some $$$$ to give Jaydon that jersey #23 since that was Jaydon Blue's jersey # in college? Buddy Johnson wore jersey #1 in college at Texas A&M, plus he has also worn jersey #57 when he first was picked up by the Cowboys a few years ago. Newly signed veteran LB, Jack Sanborn, now has jersey #57, so it will definitely be interesting if the Cowboys front office decides to make Buddy Johnson pick another jersey # just so #23 can be given to Jaydon Blue?

They both can wear 23 in camp. Johnson is unlikely to make the team.
