Who are you looking forward to seeing play?

all eyes are gonna be on jaylon smith but I'm looking forward to seeing the 3 rookie CBs to see who has the "it" factor and be a starter by next year. Loving this draft.

Lots that I'm interested in but especially seeing if JoJo Mathis can make the camp roster during his tryout.

Really? That's what has your interest most piqued? Seems random and insignificant in the scheme of things. What's this guy's upside? Backup SAM?

He's a DE in our scheme. He also was one of the most productive pass rushers in college football before his injury (actually, I think he was the most productive per snap). I'm intrigued by him.

It doesn't mean I'm not also interested in seeing what our picks can do, seeing Jaylon Smith, etc. I wonder if Rico will be out there?

Sounds like someone else gave him an actual contract so he's not coming here. Texans

The best thing about this draft is that our entire personality on defense has changed.

I love the guy but if Orlando is the odd man out...what is Sean Lee?

I suspect Lee sticks around at least two more seasons but we seem intent on giving Marinelli his defense versus the Rob Ryan players he has had to work with for the last 4 seasons.

What's Sean Lee? He's just our only All-Pro on defense playing one of our scheme's most important positions. Only way he's not here longer than two more years is if his play or health starts to decline - aka it will have nothing to do with Rod's wanting him replaced.

He wasn't a Rob Ryan pick, either, for the record.

Never said he is. I know he wasn't a Rob Ryan player. I was referring to all of the players we let go this offseason. Carr/Mo were drafted for Ryan's defense. I believe Wilcox was a Monte Kiffen pick(I guess you could argue he was a Marinelli guy).

The point I am making is that the times are changing. Orlando is likely gone either this year or next offseason and Lee? In two years, his contract will call for him to be released as it stands right now and he will be 33...don't be surprised if we don't draft his replacement next offseason.

I got ya - it sounded/read to me that you weren't thinking Lee was a fit or that Marinelli would want him gone or he's expendable in the same type of way that Scandrick is.

I still think the only thing that gets him out of here in 2 years is if his health declines. He's very dedicated to his craft and an instinctual player and those types are usually productive well into their thirties (again, assuming health holds up).

Sean Lee works well for any defense and especially for a coach like Rod
