I agree with all that except one thing,I'm on the short list of fans who like our RB's going into this season.
I think Williams is the starter and could have a great season, if he can stay healthy.
I think Blue has the chance to be J Gibbs like for us. He's explosive and can run routes too.
I think Mafah has some a chance to be a bell cow. He has the power, vision and some moves.
I think Sanders is a solid vet back up. Bit of a tweener that can do anything OK.
I think Deuce is probably on his way out but gives them a back up to Blue for camp.
I think Luepke is going to be relegated to be just a blocker/ST guy, if he makes the team.
I believe they will end up in the end being the one to punch you know Thunder and lightning it may not be explosive as far as putting up Pro Bowl numbers, but I think as a group I think Mafah has the upside to be a Marian Barber type but at worst he's just Rico with more power.... I don't think he's going to be worse than Rico...I like Jaydon, liked him before the draft, went exactly in where I thought he would. That saying I hope next year because it sure won't be a free agent, I hope they draft an all-around RB that compliments with him well that is a 1A not a 2A like Blue is. And yes there is an astronomical chance Mafah can be at least a temp starter that helps bridge that.
But the RB situation is slightly better than last year.
I think this running back room is going to be fine, cause this offensive line is going to be fine.Blue is going to be an excellent player and Mafah is going to surprise a lot of people .I like Jaydon, liked him before the draft, went exactly in where I thought he would. The main reason he went in 5 was his size. But he can still put on 10 lbs of muscle and be lightning fast.I like Jaydon, liked him before the draft, went exactly in where I thought he would. I was thinking the same thing the other day that Blue reminded me of Tony Dorsett.I remember when Dorsett would catch a screen pass and have good blocking on the play. Those were exciting plays Tom Landry had Dallas running some well executed screens, and Jaydon Blue has the speed to run these type plays. When Tyler Booker pulls and is blocking down field and Blue gets loose on a screen and takes it to the house, it will be a thing of beauty just like when Dorsett did it years ago.Sounds crazy but he reminds me of Tony Dorsett. From a pass catching standpoint, the way he can run routes like a wr, and the gliding elite speed. If he can solve his fumbling issues, and learn to pass block, he can be a big help to us. He won't ever be TD, who is, but he can have many moments where he will remind us of him. He's a nice option to have. He's versatile. He can run between the tackles as long as you don't have him taking the lionshare of carries. I want Williams and Mafah for that. They can be the hammers, and Blue can be the finishing nails. Lol. Close out games with his speed. We have options now.
