Rookie RBs: update after week 3

Felix is a perfect change of pace back the way MBIII was running the ball last night.

That play was set up perfectly and Felix took advantage of the opportunity.

How does Felix only have 3 yards receiving?? We need to get him some more reps.
Somebody should put that on a paver and have it dropped onto Garrett's overhead projector.

There were two grounding penalties. The first was due to Felix slipping on a cut. Romo caught it in time to pull the ball back, then the rush made him throw to nobody in the flat. Legitimate grounding.

The second call was absolutely criminal on what looked like a standard cross up. If that's grounding, then Tavaris Jackson grounds it every time. The refs looked at the pressure and the situation in the game and assumed he was dumping it. Fact is, Romo often delivers under pressure without looking directly at the receiver. Horrid call.

I agree that the second call was worse than the first. But Felix was in the area on the first. If the WR on the second one had run the out and slipped and fell and Romo threw it in his general direction but over his head out of bounds, then that shouldn't be called grounding either.
