Two that jump out the most: Bosa was really good and I didnt think he'd live up to his draft billing, but he did. Goff OTOH, and yes the Rams were a train wreck, but he was barely a 50% passer. No way he can be successful like that.

I liked Howard in the draft, but didn't expect that kind of production.

Thought Bosa would bust, way wrong there.

An interesting note on Bosa is that he played as a 3-4 DE.

The biggest question mark on Bosa in the draft was that he didn't have the elite edge rusher type speed that is expected for a top 10 pick to play as a 4-3 DE. The 3-4 DE position is a bit of a different skill set that seems to perfectly match what was considered his best skills. In college he won more on power and great hand technique combined with really good but not elite quickness. A 3-4 DE is often matched up with a Guard because the OT is often blocking the 3-4 OLB. The 3-4 DE's best pass rush move is shooting the gap off the snap in more or less a straight line to the QB instead of trying to get around the outside of an OT.

Obviously 3-4 teams sometimes go to a 4 man line in Nickel and SD sometimes played a shift with the 3 DL shifted left with Bosa playing similar to a 4-3 DE with the ROLB playing somewhat of a stand-up DE position.

I would be curious to know how many of his sacks came by beating an OT around the outside as opposed to some type of inside move.
