Theres alot of talk going on with Peter King talking about the The Rookie scale being a big point and the league wants it to go in effect in 2011. About time.

I greatly agree. Prove yourself. Have something in place for someone who is a stud to renegotiate. I dont see why the players union would even battle this. Overpaid flops effects everyones money.

The rookie scale and 18-game regular season are the two big things Goodell wants in the next CBA.

I personally only want the rookie pay scale. I think a rookie scale will do wonders for improving the quality of teams around the league...teams like SF won't be hamstrung by Alex Smith's albatross of a contract until this year, basically.

But three or five years. You need five to best present your best, but three would get you to payday faster. How many players did not show up till after their third year? I wonder how many real players might have been cut based on something like this.

I agree with a rookie scale, but I dont think its gunna be easy.
