Rookie's Skyler Green verses Jamaica Rector competing for roster spot

Two of the young receivers competing for roster spots have a better chance of making a contribution elsewhere in the regular season. Rookie Skyler Green and Jamaica Rector are competing with cornerback Terence Newman for the punt return job.

I doubt that we keep both of them. Has Rector attempted to return a punt yet?

Like you, I can't recall seeing Rector return anything. Does anyone even remember if BP talked about him doing so in practice?

Due to BP's concentration on STs I would have to believe Green has the edge.
To backtrack right away however, if they felt they could get Green on the the PS then I think the advantage swings to Rector as he has been in the system longer and with an unsure WR situation for week #1, he might be able to contribute something if needed.

ummm terence newman will return a couple of punts/season, yeah but thats it. skyler will be our punt returner and he WILL make this team. its funny how some guys keep mentioning the words "practice squad" when talking about skyler. you have obviously no clue what the nfl is all about lol

no way rector makes the team. green definitely is.
