Everything then hinges on the Packers and Cardinals H2H game. As everyone already knows, if the Packers win this game, the cowboys get the #2 seed and a bye week..That is the best case scenario..

Imagine if that happened, we won, and the #1 seed lost (and I think NO is vulnerable). We'd be hosting two playoff games, including the NFC Championship.

I'm not sure Jerry could survive the excitement.

Things change so quickly in the NFL teams that are hot like Minn and NO are not looking like world beaters right now. Even before the loss to Dallas, NO was looking like a team who was ripe for a beating. All the Cowboys need to do is focus at what they need to do this week if they can continue to do that and not eat the cheese as BP would say I think they have a very good chance at making a run.

I too will be pulling for Carolina next week, and the Vikings in week 17.

If NY loses to Carolina and Dallas beats Washington, and Chicago beats Minnesota then you better not be pulling for the Vikings in week 17.

what you guys may not have noticed is that if the Cardinals win that game, the next scenario bodes pretty well for Dallas.

Vikes Host Eagles

if Dallas beats the Giants they then go to Arizona...I would LOVE either scenario..getting the bye or getting the 3 seed and playing NY and Zona..

Only DOWNSIDE to this scenario is if we lose to Philly we go home lol...All or NOTHING scenario..

MN would have to lose both it's last two to not get the 2nd seed, which they play chicago and NY Giants, I'm pulling for the Vikes, skrew the Giants...

If we take care of our business then to heck with everything else, we will be in the playoffs legitimately and not backing in. Getting hot in all 3 phases of the game is critical from here on in.

Though we've lost to them twice this year in face-to-face tifs we still have the chance to "beat" the G-men where and when it counts...dealing them a season-ending fatal blow by winning our final two games.

Sadly even with that we'll still need help from Green Bay.

Our schedule ends with all the usual villains. Our nemesis Commanders, followed by the arch villain Eagles----but all the while the hated Giants loom like vultures ready to seize upon our carcasses if we fall. Their presence is palpable.

Oddly even if we make it to the playoffs...it's altogether possible we'll be playing an NFL East team in the first round of the playoffs.

It sure would be nice to win the division and face Green Bay in game 1. My preference for the following week? Min. Then perhaps an Eagles or Cards upset in the Superdome would have us back at home for the Conference title.

I sure want the division but I will say that both the Giants and Cards made it to the SuperBowl (the past two years), doing it the hard way. Playing...3 games with at least one roadie.

Home games haven't provided a safe haven in the playoffs the past few years. Not in any way.

This is what I dont understand about some people's fanship.....yes we hate the Eagles, Skins, and Giants. however, we should root for them when it is most beneficial to the Cowboys.

Chi beats Minn (11-4)
Car/NYG (if Car wins, Dallas is in.....if NYG win Dallas magic number is 1)
GB beats Seattle (10-5)
Philly beats Denver (11-4)
Arizona beats STL (9-6)

So if this happens.....we need Minnesota and Arizona to lose in week 17 and us to beat Philly to get the #2 seed.
