Man, my tongue bout snapped out just saying that and my fingers broke typing it........

Anybody out there rooting for the stinking Beagles this weekend to beat the Giants and help "THE" Boys out? I am, don't like it, but I am. Was just curious what you all thought.

I was discussing how to root for team with my wife. Actually, I was giving her the priority list. It goes like this:

1) ALWAYS root for the Cowboys
2) root against the NFC East team
2a) if two NFC East teams are playing, root for the one with the worse record
3) root against the NFC
3a) if two NFC teams are playing, root for the one with the worse record

Then of course, there are exceptions.

- home field advantage on the line
- playoff spot on the line

Root for whichever team can help the Cowboys either get into the playoffs or obtain home field advantage throughout.

i will try to root for the eagles, but in the past every time i have tried this as soon as something goes sour for them i find myself jumping up and down and i have to keep reminding myself, no you want them to win this week.

I have a problem with this. Say the Eagles win. They are(were) a championship team with loads of playoff experience. If they suddenly go on a run (say it aint so), end up in the playoffs and we have to face them for any reason. I would much rather face a young Giants team, than a Beagles team with loads of momentum. With that being said, a Giants loss certainly helps us in the division, but as of now, we own the tiebreaker. I'm torn.........

I absolutely think the Eagles will beat the Giants .. and thats not homerism. Having McMahan QB helps Philly bigtime. He is not a McNabb obviously, but he is healthy and mobile - which McNabb was not. Also dont forget the Philly D looked pretty good and they ran like the wind against us. Philly also has a much better special teams than the giants. Put that with a team on the ropes that rarely loses to the NYG, I really like Philly to beat up a severely overrated Manning.

Philly wins outright.

BINGO!

Beware of the Eagles...they have a very "easy" schedule after they play the Giants.

They could run the table, even without McNabb.

Their 2 road games after this week are at St Louis and Arizona.

The other four games are Home games, and we all know how tough they play at home.

Therefore, I hope the Giants knock them out this weekend. Although, even with another loss, the Eagles could end up 10-6 and in the playoffs, with a ton of momentum.

No, Eagles all the way in the game. The Eagles are not a threat to Dallas for the rest of the year barring a miracle run by them and a collapse from us. The Giants on the other hand need to be taken down a peg or two by a division loss. With the sweep, Dallas is 3 games ahead of Philly and only a half game ahead of Giants.

Until the Eagles are mathamatically eliminated from the playoff picture...i will not favor (i would never use the word root) them to win. I say bury the Eagles till they can no longer breath.

whoever challenges us for the division I want to see lose.

I will NOT BE MAD if the Eagles beat the Giants since the Eagles are on the bottom and the Gints are tied with us.
