Roseanne. I'd call
The Jeffersons a spinoff from
All in the Family, but not
Seinfeld from
Roseanne.

I disagree with the author, because as I previously mentioned, television networks already profited from a long history of several successful television shows created from stand-up comedians.

Seinfeld, he shouldn't thank Roseanne Barr, he should thank Rick Ludwin of NBC. Ludwin cancelled a Bob Hope special to fund
Seinfield's first season.
