Taking shape, I don't see any other moves at this time except the last 2 PS spots. Probably tomorrow after players clear waivers.

This site would be a lesser place without you sir.
I acknowledge your efforts.

Now, on to what I think:
Dixon is still on the team?
I hold a huge amount of CAUTIOUS optimism towards our defense with the true starters coming in full-time, but the question marks cannot be ignored.

I don't think this offense is going to be as good as many think it will be.
Some of that will be because the defense might not be able to get the opposing offense off the field, some of that is this team's penchant for self-destruction.

I think this team has a chance to win it's division.
I don't think it has even a remote chance at a Super Bowl.

Having said that: I'm still going to watch. I'm still going to be here reading the whining and the usual suspects repeating the usual things (like we don't know what's going on after being hammered over and over about the things we already know) and I'm still going to post my random posts that educates nobody in terms of football, but at least they won't be repetitive.

And I'm still going to look forward to posts from posters like you and Fuzzy and the others whose names escape me right now (I apologize) that provide so much more than I could on a football board.

Kudos for what you do.

I think we'd like to keep all three of the possibilities if they clear waivers. Maybe we replace Pellerin with Thomas, possibly one of the linebackers or WR Tim Benford. (I think we kept Benford simply because Byrd didn't clear waivers.) Wonder if we like Wetzel more than Patrick, and if that's an either/or situation.

The only guys I think are locks not to get replaced are Boatright and Williams.

I show Dixon as being replaced under CB for some reason and then show him again under Safety.

Dixon ain't coming back. Broaddus thinks JG wants nothing to do with him.

Saw several things that seem to indicate that, but then I don't know why we would have kept him in the first place.

I've seen this brought up several times on a few threads and I keep thinking the same thing.
Who knows what happened in those few days when he was kept then cut.

Maybe he talked to Garrett and they couldn't come to a mutual agreement.
Maybe it was a talk with the DB Coach.
Maybe something new came up and all parties would rather it be kept quiet for his career or any other reason.

There are so many variables that we have zero connections to...
I'd rather not bust any blood vessels over this particular issue over why he was kept on the 53 then cut.

And to end this: If it was organizational ineptness... that wouldn't surprise me either.

Saw a tweet from Thomas saying he was going to the practice squad.

Did we get confirmation on Crawford? He looks like another LDE and the last I saw Broaddus said it was just a rumor.

I never know with Broaddus. One day he said Jack Crawford was just a rumor and the next day he said, they really are going to sign him.
