Roster cut and restructured deal will help Dallas clear room for Durant and another

The Cowboys don’t have the cap room to finalize their deal with Justin Durant, but they’re apparently going to today.

According to Clarence Hill of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, the Cowboys are going to sign Durant and another player today after they cut a player and restructure the contract of another.

The Cowboys will not only sign linebacker Justin Durant but they plan to sign other player today, a high-level team source said.

To clear room for both players, the salary-cap strapped Cowboys will cut a player and restructure the deal of another. The Cowboys have just $102,000 under the 2013 salary cap of $123 million.

The source said the names will be announced when the deals were finalized later today.

If they sign Moore, I can see DT or Safety in the first and maybe a RT in the second. If we address those 3 positions early in the draft I would be happy.

I don't personally think the Cowboys are looking to go dline in the first because their private workouts have focused mostly on olinemen and safeties. I don't think they have even brought in a dline prospect for a private workout.
