Roster cutdown predictions

Next Tuesday is the first of 3 cut downs. The dates are the 17th, 24th and 31st. Five players each on the first two cut downs, then of course to 53 on the last one.

Who are your 5 before, and then after the game.

5 players can be easily named, but which five, as there are 15 or more that can be easily on the list.

I have.
Burton CB, Parker S, Parker WR, Mitchell WR, Davis WR.

This is my before the 2nd PS game list. I may change it after.
It may be interesting to see who has who, before and after.
I think they have too many WR”s, which is why I say 3 are gone. Still too much going on to get rid of OL.
And a few too many DB’s that really don’t matter.

Really like how they are keeping it so the bulk of the cutdown is on the 31st. Will give us yet another week to evaluate our young guys before a decision is made.

FWIW my opinions are as follows:

- Trysten Hill will remain on PUP to start the season, they only need 3 weeks this year to have a player return rather than 8 prior to COVID. Believe they will also try and keep Sewo the FB on IR.

4. TJ Vasher (IR?) Parker WR
5. Guirdy WR

This will probably factor into who they need to trot out there for the 4th game.

The WR’s and DB’s are need to run routes so I could see a RB like Knox included in the list.

DaNucci should have been gone last season. Makes MM look worse for picking him and now for keeping him . Giving Danucci reps is like throwing away money. Give reps to Gilbert and other backups for god sake.

I really like Aaron Parker and hope he can stick on the PS somehow.

He has no shot at the 53.

Stephen said the other day ( via tweet ) we had 65 players (yes 65 ) who could make the 55 rosters today....In other words, as he put it, a lot of stiff competition in camp.

I could see any injured player that is far down the roster being released. Unfortunately this year I am not as familiar with a lot of the players at the bottom of the roster.

There are 17 DBs, 14 WRs, and 6 TEs so I expect some cuts at those positions.

It's my understanding Trysten is fighting an uphill battle to make the final cut......he needs to play and have an impact, fast.
