Roster Guru's, since we cut Battle and settled to injury, can we resign him to PS?

ok roster gurus, since we settled with jackie battle on injury settlement and cut him, can we resign him later to practice squad, if no other team picks him up?

This happened with Billy Cundiff a couple of years ago. They could not sign him until later in the season. After week 10 I believe or something like that.

I think they have to wait like half a season depending on how much they paid in the settlement. Adamjt is the one who will know the specifics.

I'd assume it is the same rule -- a guy shouldn't be able to "double dip" with the one team -- otherwise you could use that settlement to buy a guy onto the PS -- e.g., we'll give you 8 weeks IF you agree to go on our PS.
