Sean Lissemore
Sean Lee
Brandon Williams
Leon Williams
Barry Church
Danny McCray
Akwasi Owusu-Ansah

Say goodbye to...

Bobby Carpenter
Patrick Crayton
Pat McQuistan
Curtis Johnson
Steve Octavien

Ken Hamlin
Cletis Gordon
Patrick Watkins
Junior Siavii
Shaun Suisham
Duke Preston
Cory Procter

John Phillips to the IR

I will be adding those 14 players to the birthday list on the calendar sometime today.

It seems like I am missing two who left us, but in reality it is just one. John Phillips is still here, just on the IR. For the life of me, I cannot figure out who the 12th farewell goes to.

I will be adding those 13 players to the birthday list on the calendar sometime today.
Procter?

It really seems that over the past three years the Cowboys have added a ton of new young players.

Can anybody put out a current roster with years in the league next to their name (and also add how they were added; e.g. free agent, 6th round etc)???

It would be great to see how the current team was built--how much of the team are "Wade's Guys" etc.

Thanks in advance!

My favorite is Gronkowski.....The Gronka truck is going to pummel defenders in our run game.

Good catch. I'm glad you got Dez to make it 14 instead of 13...Okay, I'm superstitious :D

Thanks for the assist folks. How could I miss Dez? Yikes.

I had got him on the roster series, but not the hello list. Also thanks on Preston and Procter.

Selective amnesia there. I have all of the birthdays now added and updated the birthday status of the 13 players who exited stage left.

Who is Shane Suisham? Dallas used to have a kicker named Shaun Suisham.

That seems like a lot of turnover, especially for a good team.

Mostly bottom of the roster and 2nd stringers JAG for JAG in some cases but no big losses. The starters or guys like Crayton with a lot of playing time that were replaced were all upgrades IMO.

Not necessarily.

They figure a pro-football player has what a 4 year career?

That would result in a roster turnover over every 4th year or 13 players based on a roster number of 53.

Well lookee there. :D

a good team, not a great team.....so we have holes to fill and dead weight to throw overboard.

I agree, most of it was churning at the bottom of the roster.

Still, a nearly 30% turnover rate is higher than I'd have expected.

Thanks for updating and posting Hos! All this can be summarized with three words: HUGE ROSTER UPGRADE!

Quick question for you: Are the Cowboys moving more and more away from a 2-TE base set and clsoer to a 3-WR set? I thought that was the plan, and only keeping 2 TEs on the 53 seems to suggest that, however what the Cowboys recently did at WR makes me now wonder. Maybe they're going for more of a balance between the two formations?

we right now have only 3 new starters. Or think we will have. Hamlin, the Hotel, right now are the only two forecast. Kosier will be back soon; and the real question is about Colombo's spot. And of course there is Buehler.

Yes, they are. They will still use some, but I expect us to load 3 WRs on this Offense most of the time.

I'd like to see 3 of our top 4 pass catchers eclipse 1000 yards. I think we can do it.

I would like to see the running backs as a group get around 750 yards receiving. I think they can do that.
