..........Rothlisberger could always count on his defense to bail him out of the MANY bonehead plays (even moreso that Romo) he makes ove the course of a season. That will always be the difference between the 2 players.

Tell me that Romo couldn't have won 2 SuperBowls playing on the same SuperBowl squads that Big Ben played on...............................

Ben's a 2 time rapist too, that's another difference.

What you said might or might not be true, but what's your point? He has two rings and Romo has zilch. He has had tremendous success in the post season and Romo and the Cowboys have not. That's really the bottom line and that's all you're going to hear from the mediots until it changes regardless of the reasons.

A solid point by both of you. I do think that Big Ben gets a lot more praise because his defense can over come the crap he gives them.

Well except on Sunday.

This kind of stuff gets posters a timeout.

Good luck.

And they are not really the same QB anyway.

Roeth has basically the same playoff passer rating as Tom Brady, so let's stop pretending he's a mere bus driver or something. Tony may be from Wisconsin, but he doesn't strike me as a cold weather QB. So no, I don't think they would have necessarily won two championships with Tony at the helm.

Definitely agree with the main point. I think the only minor disagreement is that Ben is able to deal with a poor offensive line a bit better due to his size.

I wholeheartedly agree.

I agree. We would have had two SBs if we had the steelers defense.

They are two COMPLETELY different QBs in almost every possible way.
Both are good.
But they are very different.

Ben also has a run game so he doesn't have to throw on every play even with a lead.

They are both male. They do have that in common.

Funny.
I thought of Big Ben when all of this bashing of Tony was going on.
His team had the much more important game this weekend and he was 2-3 times worse than Tony in a blowout loss. Yet, Tony is just getting reamed beyond comprehension and not too much has been made of Ben's epic suckiness.

The obvious answer is the rings, but come on. Ben was truly horrible in one of his team's most important games of the regular season this past weekend.

As for who Ben remind me of. Well, he's a better and taller version of ...gasp...David Garrard. But, of course, Ben plays on a team with a infinitely better defense and much better WRs.

ben is clutch, tony isn't.

This. I would take Romo's QB skills over Ben any day. But Ben seems to have a knack of getting it done when the pressure is on. I wish I could say the same for Romo.
