Lissimore pulled a groin, Frampton went down, and Wilcox not on practice field today (no reason given yet). Also, Matt Johnson has a stress fracture, not just sprained ligaments, according to Tim McMahon.

I gave you a "like" for bringing us this information, but I don't really "like" what I'm hearing. I hope a stress fracture isn't as bad as it sounds. There just don't seem to be any minor foot injuries.

I don't think it's an actual stress fracture, I believe it's called a 'pre stress fracture' and that is supposedly different from a stress fracture with a quicker timeframe to come back.

Johnson never had sprained ligaments but a pre-stress fracture injury. Is the rest bogus also?

Unless your name is Matt Johnson.

The dreaded groin injury. Waiver wire for DT may not be too far away with Ratliff's health iffy and Crawford gone too.

Then I guess the entire DFW media is wrong.

Well, we are talking about the DFW media. Wouldn't be the first time. But seriously, all I've heard to this point that was confirmed, was that he had a stress reaction. I doubt McMahon knows the difference.

What's with all the injuries? Anyone think the new CBA and all the regulations on practice in the offseason and TC is having an impact?

Prayers up for JJ and family. Lost my mom to cancer in April 2012. At least I had her with me for 47 years. JJ so young to lose his mom. Should she pass may he be comforted knowing he's made her proud and she will be watching him through the "hole in the roof"

I thought it was Beasely with strained ligaments and Johnson with the pre-stress fracture

That may be my bad. With these two players, it's hard to keep all their injuries straight. They get hurt putting on their pads.

Depends on the injury.

I'm a bit skeptical on the hamstring injuries. I just think we've got so many ways to get bulk on guys, whether it's illegal or legal that they are bound to have hamstring issues. That's what really turned me off to baseball in the late 90's with all of the juice. If a guy showed a little bit of hustle, be it on a fly ball or trying to turn a single into a double...they'd inevitably pull a hamstring.

The same could probably be said for a lot of other injuries. Although part of it is having to keep your balance and stay on your feet and I'm sure some have to become 'callous' to pain and injuries and play thru them.

How many games were missed in 2012 due to hamstring injuries. I don't remember it being a problem during the season.

I think most of the hamstring problems are just the coaches/trainers being ultra conservative in regards to practice.
