I was hoping someone could help me. I am trying to find a video clip of that bs roughing the passer penalty called on the player who shoulder bumped manning.

For the life of me I can not remember who had it called on them.

The one on Jenkins from Green Bay Monday night was embarassing to the league. This is going to cost someone thier season, and I hape it isn't ours. I can see the Super Bowl and it's 4th and 15 with a minute left, and some d lineman gets a personal foul called, and the other team goes on to win.

when I saw the grrn bay call my fist reaction was that it was fixed and the refs wanted the other team to win. I know thats not true but when thats the first thing a fan of the league thinks there is a problem.

They need to figure this out ASAP. I would have a stroke if that happens to us in a big moment!

if it comes down to a call like that for us, I would literally be afraid of the outcome. I hope rational thought would prevail but my TV might just go out the window

While the hit itself was not particularly hard and in most cases shouldn't warrant a penalty, Spears clearly hit Manning after the ball was gone and it was clearly an *INTENTIONAL* hit after the fact. No he didn't kock him on his ***, or go upside his helmet, but a smart player has to be aware of the consequences of his actions. Spears should have known that that stupid little shove after the ball was gone and the ref was not going to like it, especially coming against the Golden Boy Manning.

that packers call also made me feel as if the game was rigged, because there were also a lot of other bs pass interference calls that game

I would really appreciate that if you do not mind. Sorry but I have tried to find it and had no luck so far.

...to question a call like that, especially since it resulted in a 30 yard play for the Colts.

But there was alot of positives from Theebs video. First, Manning was forced to step up in a collapsed pocket and you could imagine the pressure he was feeling. Second, his pass was a floater across the field with very little arm strenght on it.

You had to like that play because it pressured Manning and had him put up a dangerous pass that was essentially a floater.

The defence really came up big against the Colts.

WOW.... I mean just WOW. I was at the game and didn't see what happened on that play.

That play took the Colts from their own 33 all the way to the Dallas 36 yard line. Talk about a difference in field position. If Roy Williams hadn't intercepted Manning near the goalline, that 1 play would have assured the Colts AT LEAST 3 points.

Dan Marino just said on Inside the NFL that he's willing to come back and play if the QB is not allowed to be hit.

I'm probably in the minority, but I thought it was the correct call.

There's been a lot of questionable roughing the passer calls this year but that wasn't one of them. Spears threw a shoulder at Manning well after the fact and should have gotten a 15 yard unsportsmanlike penalty.

Calls like the form tackle Peppers put on Campbell are mistakes by the officials, calls like Spears trying to intimidate a QB with a little bump late aren't. There's a fine line but Spears definitely crossed it IMO.
