Everyone knows this, no new info here, just a reminder.

oline upgrade/running game upgrade: keep your offense on the field greater percentage of time. Chew clock. Keep opposing offense off the field, lower the yards per game surrendered stat, etc.

I agree. However, keep in mind we had an above average oline last year and it didn't help. The play calling, decision making of the QB, and execution have to all improve on the offense, to help out the defense.

Great pick. Still, no help for the defense when we are up 35-34 and it is 2 minutes left in the 4th qtr and "Foles, RG3, Eli" has the ball.

yep, this kind of pick makes the team go from afraid to call a running play on 3rd and short, to a team that can do so with more confidence. it is indeed help for the defense.

I agree 100%. I do think we will run the ball more this year. I hope we go to a more of a ball control offense. I still think we can get some defense in this draft that will help us.

Calling running plays will help the run game.....

I did get a chuckle out of the commentary from Garrett how he suddenly recognizes the importance of a strong OL and running the football.

He must have finally got that elective class on "How to control time of possession 101" knocked out.
