Round 1. WR

Everyone taking an absolute position on a WR should remember in the first round should remember the cautionary tale of Jimmie Johnson's disappointment in 1990, over the loss of linebacker James Francis to Cincinnati at the #12 pick, a position of need, forcing us to settle for a small trade up with Pittsburgh and a disappointing(at the moment) consolation prize......Emmit Smith.

The NFL draft is fun because the only certainty is....uncertainty.Joe Montana,Curtis Martin 3rd rounders? Akili Smith,Andre Ware,Jamarcus Russell sure starter NFL QBs? how'd that work out?

Ridley. Great route runner. Won’t be a super star but Dak will rely on him

Praying we aren't stupid enough to draft a WR in the 1st unless there are no options at LB or DL or OL. If the choice is between Mike McGlincey OT or Calvin Ridley WR, it is a solution of 10 years vs 5 years, I'm taking the OT. If it is between Taven Bryan DT and Ridley then the smartest move would be the DT and it's not even close.

Very few WRs drafted in the first have made the Pro Bowl in recent history.

Julio Jones
AJ Green
Odell Beckham

Are any of these 2018 guys on that level? Look elsewhere in the 1st imo.
