Round 1

Walker
Stewart
Warren
Golden
Hampton
Nolen
Johnson

All would have been a better pick than Booker. This front office is terrified of taking chances. Safe and comfortable tucks them in night…which explains the 3 decades of mediocrity

Booker will be a good starter for years…while simultaneously solving 0 of the problems that have plagued this franchise for years.

He is a Duke Mayweather guy and reportedly is a strong leader which fits their right kind of guy they wanted
One thing is for sure Dallas has a strong interior Offensive line with Tyler Smith Cooper Beebe and Tyler Booker , I figure a bell cow running back will be added soon .Judkins from Ohio State looks the part, and if offensive tackle play improves Dallas will run the football and hopefully be a balanced offense. If Steel and Guyton are better this will be a good unit.

It is an answer to the DT’s in our division, our OL’s success will be on how our tackles perform.

we agree that this was a very weird class where a player at 40 could be similar to one in the top 15. We didn’t like Jaylon Walker, Will Johnson has injury concerns, Williams, T-Mac gone , can’t trade back, they just took a high floor player at a position of need.

Work on the run defense and we can still have a successful draft.
Just take the best player…I’m so sick of this team reaching for need.

They clearly went into this offseason wanting to fix their run game. They could not run the football at all against the better teams, had the least amount of rushing TD's in the entire league. We may not of thought the OL was a big area of need, but they thought otherwise.

Then sign an OG in FA instead of wasting a premium pick

We were top 10 in run block win rate last year.

I understand where you’re coming from but at some point you also need to let the young players develop instead of pumping 1st rounders into the OL every year.

Don't disagree, why draft these lineman if you cannot develop them? You don't need 5 1st rounders to put together a successful line. This franchise keeps on trying to re-create that 90's line, but they didn't have a single 1st rd pick among them.

It’s maddening man…

Especially considering the progress Bass / Hoffman showed last year and we just brought in an OC / OL Coach that did wonders in AZ with lesser talent.

This seems more like Jerry/Stephen wanting to re-create a dominate line. They felt losing Martin was a huge loss on and off the field.

We heard yesterday that they wanted a player to lead the positional group. Schott has been preaching culture. What I have read about Booker, he was one of the leaders at Alabama, considered a real hard worker and loves the game of football. His character sounds like Tyler Smith.

I'm not in love with the pick and the value at 12, but I understand their thinking.

A Guard…

Low positional value and a player who was ranked as a borderline 1st rounder.

Gosh this team is so freaking dumb.
After watching the whole round now everyone seemed to go Oline or Dline. 12 was too high, but once Tet went they had no one else besides Booker or Nolen.

They also signed the Guard from Miami. I think they should consider trading one of them.

100% - I understand they’re thinking but I think it is wildly flawed.

I also don’t buy the “we need a leader” for the OL for a second. Everything I’ve heard about Tyler Smith and Beebe is they are like Captain America in and off the field.

There were so many other players available that would’ve made more sense.

We aren't pry to what goes on inside their room, some leaders doing it by example. All reports suggests that Booker is a leader and isn't afraid to hold his teammates accountable.
