Roy E. Williams is displeased that he was given an 86 out of 100 speed rating on EA Sports' Madden 2010.

Williams ran sub-4.4 coming out of Texas in 2004. "They go off (last) year, but geez Louise, 86 speed? That's like tight-end speed, like I'm a slowpoke." The rating is a bit ridiculous, as is the media's obsession with Williams replacing Terrell Owens. Few seem to care that Anthony Gonzalez is replacing Marvin Harrison in Indianapolis, or that Laurent Robinson is succeeding Torry Holt.

I think you may be thinking of TJ Houshmanzadah, I haven't heard Roy E.'s rant before.

I distinctly remember reading about the "tight end speed" comment. So unless that's what all these WRs use to evaluate their game ratings, I think he said this a while back. He is an avid gamer, so perhaps he repeated himself.

The former Texas star couldn't believe his eyes when he got his first look at the 2010 addition of the popular video game.

"They've got me at an 86 (out of 100) speed, 87 hands and like 84 overall or something like that," Williams said Monday of his personal skill ratings. "So now I'm (playing) on Tiger Woods Golf.

Same thing with Romo...when Parcells told him about being a celebrity QB...rightly or wrongly, it adds a layer of stress you don't need....again Parcells was right

And there is the cameras and Hard Knocks....we are Dallas....everyone knows who we are.....Hard Knocks did not UPsell the Cowboys

When this organization realizes that winning needs to come FIRST...and the elevated attention and all the spoils from winning will follow...then we will win again.

It has to START at the top...hopefully this will be the year.

Didn't Tony Romo go on to be a probowl QB *after* Parcels warned him not to become a celebrity QB? Not sure that counts as Parcels being right. Unless you're talking about all that untapped potential Tony Romo's yet to take advantage of.

As a Madden player I was surprised at the 86 speed as well... He's at least a 90 speed.

As long as you're not playing online, just go in and edit him.

I bumped him up to an 87 overall with 89 speed and increased his spectacular catch and catch ratings.

I think he's a 87 overall now, which is much, much better.

I also edited MartyB and made Jason Witten the best TE in the game (like 1 ovr up) and DWare the best defender.

I can say the games I play with the Cowboys (I started a Bengals dynasty untill the patch comes out) are alot of fun and for the most part realistic.

I doubt that he really is all that upset, or cares all that much, what some folks at EA who work on Madden think about him. People blow what people say out of proportion way too much.

I play offline, so I bumped up his numbers a bit before starting my franchise. They made him slower then Keyshawn use to be, it is ridiculous. He isnt the fastest WR in the league but he isnt even close to being slow.
