This is pretty simple.

1. His stats from his partial season here are unimportant. Melding with a team midway through with no training camp is tough.

2. His first full year is a concern.

At fault:

Roy Williams - he needs to get in sync with the QB and that requires more effort. This is where men step up. Roy has not.

Tony Romo - this is a weapon and Tony needs to do any and everything he can to get on the same page

Jason Garrett - this guy holds more responsibility than any other in this paradigm. He should have figured out which routes Roy runs best. Then spoon fed him after they noticed a problem.

Build confidence in the player and the QB.

Garrett ignored this problem and that cost this team. Simply put if RW11 has a modestly better season, Dallas could have been playing at home instead of in Minny.

Outcome could have been the same. But the fact remains Boy genius is responsible for all the parts working, and when he ignored it, he bears the brunt of the issue.

Now there are those who are ready to chunk Roy and bring in Ogletree. But any business that makes a premium investment will do what they must to capitalize on that investment. As they should.

If Roy is a failure again this next year, then he may well be cut.

But if Garrett does nothing more than he did this year, I would expect him to lose his job, as well as Roy.

Glad I could be part of number 206.

I support RW and have from the get go, but I will say I think this is a make or break year coming up for RW. He will either have a big impact on offense or he will be playing his last season in Dallas. I'm sorry i do not agree about Garrett other WR have shown they can make an impact RW has to get his act together

You put an awful lot of blame on Garrett and Romo who have gotten the rest of the offense playing amazingly well given the lack of a decent OL. Roy was supposed to come in here as a vet WR who would be ready from the get-go. The whole reason Jerry allegedly upped his offer would be to get Roy's help during the 2008 season.

I think people keep ignoring the most likely underlying problem - Roy just isn't very good. He put one amazing statistical season in a kangaroo offense on a bad team. This is a guy known for his laziness, so is it that much of a surprise that his game tanked after he got his money. You don't give money to guys like that unless they have a great work ethic and truly love the game.

The sooner we are done talking about RW, the sooner everyone will be happy. Jerry just has to make sure he hasn't thrown away his $25M for nothing first so RW gets one more year to show something.

I only hope that Jerry let's the team move on without dragging Roy along like an anchor if he proves to only be the #4 WR yet demands a starting job again.

roy just isn't that good.

man - no one ever would have though of that one.

now how in the unholy hell can people ignore the problem of his just "not being that good" if we have 2-3 threads a day telling everyone just that?

I'm now officially a 206er or a 205rd depending on how you read it.

RW is not the sharpest knife in the drawer. Unfortunately, he doesn't have the breakaway speed or the size to compensate for his micro cerebrum. He'll never pay off as a first WR.

Two hundred and six.

This reminds me of a joke i heard a while back.

A guy is walking passed a mental institution that had a wooden fenced yard. As he walks by he hears the patients chanting "twenty six, twenty six, twenty six".

His curiosity gets the best of him so he tries to find a way to look into the yard through the wooden fence. He finally, sees a hole about six feet off the ground where a knot (about a size of a quarter) from one of the wooden panels has fallen out.

He stretches as best he could and puts his eye against it to look inside. As soon as he does, a finger from the other side of the fence pokes him in the eye and the patients begun chanting "twenty seven, twenty seven, twenty seven".

What we need is a sticky thread with non-vulgar jokes for the off-season blahs.

We lost by 31 on the road.

Maybe we'd only lose by 28 at home.

I wish it was a broken record because at least it stops the needle.

That was a good joke. Saw the punch line coming, but still laughed.

Here's my favorite joke and you wont see the punch line coming. It's in my opinion just about the best and certainly filthiest joke ever.

I'll clean it up.

Two chicks are out drinking late. One chick says to the other "I have to get home, my husband is gonna kill me".
The other chick says "don't worry about it, stay out as late as you want, but when you do go home just sneak in the bed and drive him nuts, he won't care where you were".
So she says "OK sounds like a plan".
Well now its like 4:00am and the one chick's had enough. "OK now I do need to get home".
Way to drunk to drive she takes a cab. Gets home and staggers into the house and barely makes it up the stairs.
Staggers into the bed room and into bed with the husband. She does it all, drives him crazy. He's moaning and groaning and she's loving it.......this is great, he won't care where I've been.
So she finishes with him and sneaks out of the bedroom to go to the bathroom.
Down the hall she bumps into the husband......."what the heck are you doing here?"
He says "shsssss, you'll wake your father"

You mean finish with a top 5 offense, 4 offensive players in the Pro Bowl and a playoff victory, something that hasn't been accomplished since 1996 ?

Yea, you're right.. Jerrah needs to get rid of him if he accomplishes the same thing next season.

I mean, there's a " plethora " of offensive coordinators out there who can take this offense to the Superbowl.

A " plethora " I tell ya..
